I'm upgrading to a faster DSL connection on Friday, and my ISP jumped the gun on the changes, so my DSL was out for nine hours yesterday. There will probably be an outage on Friday as well.

There's a new update available. Many new titles, new enrollments, and new price decreases. There are now over 5000 titles available (including VHS and games).

A new update, but not many changes this week. 50 First Dates is available for fulfillment.

I was looking at the new update, and I came across a few titles that are supposedly not available for enrollment, yet I am able to put them in my "shopping cart" on the website. What's even more odd is that going through the 6/21 update last night, many of these titles were listed as available for enrollment, and now they are not. A few examples include Blade II and Donnie Darko.

I hope I am making sense. Basically, look at the differences between the 6/21 and 6/28 updates for Blade II, and then look at it on the CH website and see if you can put it in your cart as a new enrollment title.

Thanks.

Being able to put a "non-enrollment" title in your cart happened to me a while back(about a year ago). Needless to say, I didn't get it.

BTW, were you able to proceed thru checkout(up to actually placing the order)? When I did it back when, the checkout verification routine blocked that non-enrollment title on me.

I hadn't tried to actually checkout, so I'm not sure how far it will let me go.

BTW, I found a few more titles that were enrollment elligle in the last update but are not today, including Adaptation and (as if I actually care about this one) Bring It On.

If it is true that I cannot get these titles (Bring It On not withstanding), that is very disapointing. I spent a good deal of time last night determining what titles I wanted, but I couldn't find my old PSN so I couldn't sign up right away.

Does it happen often where the enrollment status of titles will change? And what is the reason for it? For example, Donnie Darko makes no sense to me, since it's retail value is $14.95.

FYI, just now I went as far as "Enter Personal Details" without a problem, with four or five DVD's that have the "glitch" I described.

I keep finding more and more titles with this glitch. An incomplete list:

solaris
adaptation
blade 2
shrek
donnie darko
stephen king's storm of the century
wizard of oz
this is spinal tap : special edition
beautiful mind
snatch

and more that I have noticed but failed to write down.

You can find these titles on the website, and even put them in your cart. But they don't seem to show up when browsing genres. Is there any rhyme or reason to this?

Okay, check that. I am able to find these titles by browsing the site. So perhaps it is a glitch with the update itself? I don't mean to offend anyone. I'm just curious to figure out what's going on. Thanks.

Not sure if anyone else cares, but I've found some more titles that are not supposed to be enrollment elligible but are appearing on the CH site. I found my old PSN earlier today so I may try to purchase some of these. If anyone can shed any light...that'd be great. And now the list:

Adaptation.
Bandits
Beautiful Mind Awards edition, A
Big Lebowski, The
Blade II
Boxer, The
Bram Stoker's Dracula
Clockwork Orange, A
Cube Signature Series
Dawn Of The Dead
Dogma
Donnie Darko
Evil Dead, The
Exorcist, The: The version You've Never Seen
Full Metal Jacket
Liar Liar
Malcolm X
Me, Myself & Irene
Night Of The Living Dead
Pianist, The
Ring, The
Shawshank Redemption, The
Silence Of The Lambs, The
Sleepy Hollow
Snatch
Solaris
Stephen King's Storm Of The Century
This Is Spinal Tap : special edition
U-571
Usual Suspects, The
Whale Rider
Wizard Of Oz, The

bga would be the first to admit that his data mining program is still a little buggy. These titles have all been around for more than 3 months, so it is no surprise you can find them on the enrollment site.

I guess my question is, am I going to have a problem acquiring these titles if I attempt it? I'm guessing "no" but I want to be sure. I can be an annoyingly thorough person.

You shouldn't have any problem at all. You may want to call in your order, for phone applications have a higher success rate.

I've enrolled with Donnie Darko, Clockwork Orange, Big Lebowski, Dracula, Snatch, Full Metal Jacket, Dogma, Sleepy Hollow and Blade II on separate occasions in the past.

I don't know what went wrong, but my data miner did find about 900 fewer enrollment titles than normal. I restarted it at the search for enrollment phase, and it looks like the list is correct this time. Who knows, maybe I was searching for enrollments while CH was updating their website. I deleted the results from this morning.

Is there any way to get a list from the Canadian Columbia House?
