New data miner available. I am going to stop putting this message up but you can look at the recently available for enrollment thread as I will put the newest enrollments there and that will tell you that a new data miner is available.

I noticed that selection #4200101 (Clarissa) is listed as an enrollment title in the spreadsheet, but when I look it up at columbiahouse.com it comes up as a Members Only selection. Is that title a phone order only enrollment?

Can't explain it. The latest data miner that is actually running as I type this has already updated that selection and it shows as members only selection now. It could be a bug but I don't think so. Has anyone seen CH have a selection go from enrollment back to members only?

Yes, many DVDs that used to be available for enrollment no longer are. But they tended to be two or three disc editions and most were available for a long time before Columbia House had an apparent policy change regarding which titles should be availalble for enrollment. So, this latest example might be a fluke.

The highlighted no indicates that this selection is not available.

Selection Available column indicates if the title is available for purchase on the member site. Titles that do not show up on the member site are not available. CH has lots of items in their database which are like this, sometimes they are older titles that are no longer available or newer titles which they never received. It can also indicate a title that has not yet been released and is not available for pre-order, like Universal and Columbia Tri-star titles.

It would be awesome if there was a way to grab the imdb rating for these movies and throw it in the excel file. I use that rating as one of my measurements for determining whether the movie has potential to be good.

^ That would be mighty tough to do for 8000 or so listings. AlfB's data miner just pulls information from the Columbia House website. Trying to cross reference each title to the imdb listing would be seriously difficult, I would think.

If anyone is interested, I went through the first 100 or so cheap ones and grabbed the imdb rating for them.

Difficult but not impossible. The biggest problems will be if the title does not exactly match and the fact that each title currently pulls up two different websites which is the most time consuming part of the mine and it currently takes about 15-16 hours to complete. Adding another site would mean as much as a 50% increase. I might look at it but no promises.

How soon do BBC releases come out? I am planning on making an order, but will wait if Little Britain season 2 will be available next Tuesday on it's release day.

Sorry for the long time between updates as I have been out of the country. I will try to not be so long between them in the future but no promises. The latest is on my website. I did not do the full update that looks for new selections as that is signifcantly longer than just a look at existing selections in the database. In any case, that is available. I will look at doing an update to get any new selections as soon as possible. Enjoy.

Ok question - I just opened like 3 accounts with CH - one so far has been approved - I am searching with no hope that CH will have certain DVD on TV avalible and I can find what I want - here goes - does anyone know if or when they will have the following TV shows avaliable?

Charmed seasons 2-5 (they have 1 and I already own it booo)
Angel seasons 1-5
Buffy the Vampire Slayer Seasons 5-7 or if they will have the complete series collection called Buffy the Vampire Slayer: Choosen One Collection

I really want these and I hope they will eventually have it - any one know - thanks a bunch!!

^Columbia House no longer carries Fox DVDs so you will need to find another source for Buffy and Angel. [The Buffy "Chosen Collection" is OOP and is only available from the secondary market (ebay, Half.com, Amazon Marketplace and the like), although there have been a few reports of copies still in B&M stores.]

Don't know if CH will carry the rest of the Charmed seasons. I would guess so, but perhaps the first season didn't sell well or something, so they may not.

Hey Lizard I have another question for you - sorry to put it in a thread but wont let me sent you a private message and I cant find in the forum were the disscussion is about opening more than one accounts with CH. Ok here goes - I tried to open 3 accounts 1 got approved and the other 2 still havent heard anything. I email CH from the emails they sent me saying that they were "waiting to approve" and CH emailed me back saying that the account has been approved and will ship on 7/3/06 (this is the account I was approved on not the other 2) So I wonder what I am doing wrong (I used the same address and credit card number for all 3 bcuz someone said you can have 2 accounts per address - so your advice what should I do - should I reorder over the phone (almost been 2 weeks since I placed the order) Do I need to have them sent to different addresses or what? I would be greatful for the help - again sorry if posting this in the wrong place. Thanks again

Anyone know why CH doesnt have Blue Collar Comedy Tour - One for the Road (2006)? They seem to have the rest of the Blue Collar Comedy series - the first movie, and seasons 1 and 2 of the tv show.
