I thought that you had a montly selection (ala CH), but I have not received any emal or snail mail that says I have xx days or a selection is sent out. I logged into my account and can't find anything that says I can accept/decline any offers.

I've had an account with them some 5 years ago and can't remember if they have selections or not??

I remember when I first got my account that it took quite a while before a selection accept/decline function showed up the main page for me. I had to use the toll-free phone number to decline my first selection. By the second month, though, the Featured Selection (or whatever they call it) started showing up on the main page after logging in: the leftmost picture of the 3 DVDs shown there.

Once your "selection of the month" starts showing up you'll see it on the main page. It will be a graphical offering to the right of the "menu" and under the "Welcome" banner. It will plainly state the cutoff date for making a reply. Once you've replied the blurb will be "You have already made your Featured Title decision".

Are you a VIP member? If not the free shipping when you buy 2 is the best way to fulfill. If you are a member I have an email from them with a free movie when you buy two plus 40% off additional movies and it says no code required.

The lady I got seemed to think she was doing me this one-time great favor to send me a slipcover. It may be easier to say yours got lost or damaged, in that she said the slip covers were reserved for those people. what a bitch.

I hear ya! The "one-time exception" response usually boils my blood as well especially when the "one-time exception" is in response to a blatant error made by the store/company. Just had to vent since I got a similar response too!

Thanks for the tips. Just fulfilled my membership using the free shipping promo.

Now I just have to wait to get my VIP status and get that B1G1 free promo. For the B1G1 promo, is there a limit to how many I can do? There are quite a bit of DVDs I'm looking for (Walt Disney Treasures, Miyazaki collection, etc.) and getting them all using the B1G1 would be sweet.

Thanks.

The B1G1 code is a one time thing. Obviously I'd recommend using it on the highest priced items you want. I used mine on a pair of Treasures.

Thanks. I was hoping I could use it on multiple DVD's in one order (ie, buy 5 get 5 free), but I guess that would be too good of a deal to come true. I'll proably do the same as you and get a pair of Treasures.

Do any of the multi pack walt disney treasures sets count for fulfillment? Disney makes it very hard to find out which multipacks count and for how many without calling them.

Everybody needs to look at their credit card/ bank account statements, they screwed up and are sending out novembers directors selections to people. If you call them they will give you the money back right away though, they are apparently aware of it and so they are taking care of it fast.

The first bonus DVD at $14.95 does reduce your commitment from 4 to 3. The second $9.95 title does not, and it will actually raise your average per DVD slightly. However, the increase is very minor, and I had no plans to cycle accounts with Disney so I took the second bonus. If I remember right the increase per DVD was maybe $0.25, still below in store prices for all the animated classics I was after.

How many movies do you have to buy in order to "fulfill" your membership? Can you instantly fulfill the requirement during sign up if you buy a lot?

I bought some Disney/Pixar from Target and haven't opened them yet, this might be a cheaper route. But I don't want the hassle of receiving/being offered movies I don't want.

Any help would be appreciated, thanks!

With most codes you have to buy four to fulfill. You can purchase one at a discounted price with your enrollment package to reduce that to three. You can not purchase the other three fulfillments until you get your enrollment package.

I don't know what you paid at Target, but the club your average cost should be in the $8-9 range with the club. It's a very good price assuming you want a handful of the Platinums or other two disc edition. Otherwise, not so much.

It's really not much hassle either. Once a month you'll get a packet with your new selection detailed in it. You can decline it by mailing back the card in that envelope, calling a 1-800 number or going online. It's very easy and worth it for the savings. You could probably go through the entire enroll, fulfill and cancel process within a couple months so you'd only have to do that a couple times. If that's too much, the club probably isn't for you.
