You might want to reconsider. Birdman is $29.95 at CH. You will only be able to apply $22 of BP to this title and shipping is $3. Total cost would be $11. Foxconnect has it for $26, so it will be $13 during their next 50% off flash sale. Also, Fox titles lately have been dropping fast at retailers. I could see this title being $10 in the near future at Target or Best Buy.

It appears the memberschoice50 code is dead. CH suspended the code during the weekend because of the buy 2 Blu-rays, get 1 free promotion. However, that sale ended on Sunday night and the code is still coming up as invalid on an account that the code was valid for last week. Hopefully they are just a little slow in reactivating the code.

Worked for a minute with me. With one item in the cart I entered the code and the 50% discount appered. I then added a second item and the discount went away. I removed the second item and re-entered the code and it is no longer working.

There is a $10 off code SUMMER, not sure when it expires. (Really $7.01 if you factor in the $2.99 shipping).
Tempted to get Mortdecai for only $4.99 shipped--can't be that bad right?

Too bad there's not a Free Shipping overlap like the last time the $10 code was out there. I still might find something to use it on.

Re: Columbia House Sale Offer Codes, Part VI
Coincidentally, I noticed a $25.94 charge on my credit card today from Columbia House at the end of April. I figure I must have let a Director's Selection slide through somehow, but when I check my accounts, I don't see one. I also don't show anything in my recent order history. But under account history, I see an invoice on 4/24 for that amount with the payment a few days later. I have no idea where this came from. I've fired off a FB message to them in hopes of getting a rather quick response.
My experience has been to expect CH craziness with every order you place, but this is ridiculous since I haven't ordered anything in 4 months.
Edit: I continue to recommend to folks that if you have an issue, a FB message seems to work best. I've gotten multiple replies--the thinking is that it's a Director's Selection and they're going to credit my account. Still doesn't explain why it's not showing my order history and I haven't received anything.

^I've always had great success using the "help" section on the site. But I also do not have, nor want, a FB account. I'm glad it works for you but I actually find it somewhat inane that posting about a problem on a social site like that could ever garner results.
Thanks for the heads-up! I placed orders on my open accounts just in case. The only emails I get from CH are those telling me I declined the DS.

I message them through Facebook. I don't just post out in the open on their Facebook page, in case that's what you're thinking we do...

Crap. I didn't see your post til today. Yep, it's dead. I did use it on one account over the weekend, but I had 2 more accounts where I could have used it. I wish they had mentioned the expiration date in the offer details, so I could have planned ahead. Oh well... Better one than none...

It might be a good idea to do such anyway. From what I've observed they've dropped *lots* of stock. The last time I checked my wishlist over half were gone. I keep wondering just how much longer they'll stay afloat.

This does have the appearance of a going out of business fire sale. Besides the lack of titles, 3D movies, Fox movies and Disney movies are all being offered at $9.99. Looks like they are trying to dump off what inventory they have left before riding off into the sunset.

If you have "Bonus Points" be sure to try and use them. They *seem* to work with this sale in spite of the disclaimers saying otherwise. I put a sale item in my cart and was able to apply the Bonus Points to the sale price - the good part is they seem to apply based on the *regular* price and *not* the sale price (I applied $5 worth to a $6.99 DVD and had $5 taken off the price - I believe it's normally a 70% of price max which would have meant only $4 should have been applied) which means if you have enough points you might be able to score a free selection or two paying only shipping. Even if that's not the case and you can get them applied it's a better deal.

Put in a couple of orders. We'll see how this plays out, but I am not expecting this to go smoothly. Which is pretty much the norm for CH anyway.

I put in a couple of order. A temp charge for both orders appeared on my online CC statement. The temp charge has now been removed and my card hasn't been charged. I received no e-mail cancelation.

Does anyone else have bonus points that never deduct from your account regardless of how many times you've already used them?

Parent Of Columbia House Files For Bankruptcy Protection

.
The company that once offered to sell you eight CDs for 1 cent has filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection after almost 20 years of falling sales.
The parent of the Columbia House music and DVD clubs said Monday it plans to sell its Columbia House DVD Club business, which sells recorded movies and TV series directly to consumers.
New York-based Filmed Entertainment says its revenue peaked at $1.4 billion in 1996. With the advent of digital media and players, cloud storage and streaming options, its revenue totaled only about $17 million in 2014.
It says it decided to sell Columbia House through a bankruptcy auction.
Columbia House was founded in 1955. It closed the music club, which once offered deals like eight CDs for a penny, in 2010.
