Re: Columbia House Sale Offer Codes, Part VI
I got this in myemail today for B1G1 and 60% off additional, but could not get the code to work. That means it will probably work for everyone but me.

Try this one (also B1G1 w/60% off DVDs) which works on all my DVD and TVonDVD accounts:
20100924WST1DV2
They may be changing the formula on how codes transfer from email as the code at the bottom of the email is:
20100925DTVThankYouT5
Clicking on the email link put the other code in the cart. And it's a one-time-use code.

Re: Columbia House Sale Offer Codes, Part VI
Thank you BobO'Link for code 20100924WST1DV2. The code is valid and gives me the BOGO. The banner says the additional DVDs will be 60% off, but when I add the additional DVDs it only gives me 50% off even though the banner still says 60% off. Really wierd.

^Sweet Baby James posted the same code in post #376 (20100924WST1DV2) and the discussion prior to the post by servantx was about that code. Thank him as mine was just a reaffirmation of his post. All I added was more detailed information about the extraction process.

Re: Columbia House Sale Offer Codes, Part VI
Hmm--I just got the email for this as well--does some strange things to my cart--if I add 3 blu-rays it removes the 40% off prices and makes two of them full price and makes one free (which isn't even as good of a deal as 40% off). Also, most blu-rays say "Free" or "0" as the price before I add them to the cart--but then end up with this Buy2Get1 deal.

The weird cart thing is par for the course from my experience, but if you buy an equal amount of Blu-ray discs as DVD discs, it works out as BOGO with the Blu-ray still being 40% off.

By contemporary standards, this is pretty much as good as it gets. If you cycle accounts like I do, take advantage of these codes and move on, hoping for a better crop on the next account(s).

I've pretty much given up on the BOGO w/free shipping deals. As a result, I've pretty much given up on CH as well, with only 2 memberships this year (compared to at least a dozen most years before). A severe dropoff in good catalog releases also plays a big part in that too I suppose. Not many new releases interest me enough to pay the higher cost/title.

Columbia House (dot) com has a sale going on for today Friday the 15th only. If you buy 2 Blu Rays you get a 3rd free. They didn't jack up their prices, which is always nice. Plus it works on preorders.

Re: Columbia House Sale Offer Codes, Part VI
UPDATE--this is so inconsistent--was able to Add the 4-disc Despicable me and get that for free and it only added the $2 shipping! So I guess I found a deal that is also future proofed if I ever get a 3D TV. The strange thing was that was sale priced as $29.99 and the other two items i ordered were sale priced at 17.99 and 20.99 but they didn't seem to be eligible to be free.

I was able to grab Psycho, Maltese Falcon and Treasure of the Sierra Madre for $38.11($12.70 per title). Not too shabby for 3 movies that are on my all-time Top 50 list.

Re: Columbia House Sale Offer Codes, Part VI
The email hasn't been sent promoting this yet, but it appears we have a 7.95 per DVD deal that includes a lot of the two-disc special edition DVDs that I was hoping to buy.
Example: Doctor Zhivago 45th Anniversary Edition

This is a 4 hour sale on DVDs only on Wednesday morning

Re: Columbia House Sale Offer Codes, Part VI
The code is still active this afternoon (45% off with FS) but it changes the $7.95 DVDs to $12.62 each. It's cheaper with the $7.95 DVDs paying for shipping. Thought I'm waiting for $7.95 with FS.
