I've noticed the points aren't removed when you place the order; they are removed once the item ships. What happens if the item doesn't ship until after the points are set to expire?

How about those recent Image Entertainment reissues of Lakeshore titles formerly on Anchor Bay? Aren't those $10?

As for $8 DVDs... do they still carry THE BROOD or LIFEFORCE? I'm sure there are Lifeforce fans here, I'll let them champion this.

I had this happen a few times.. basically I ended up with a negative balance after the new year... and had to call customer service to correct the issue..

Thanks for the suggestions... I sure wish there was a way to search by price... even a way to filter by what is available for the amount you have (i.e. I have 10 points.. so show me all the $10 or less titles)....

I also remember the good old days.. when you could use the "value" of your points to reduce the cost of a title...

btw... I just poked around long enough to find that the Advanced Search allows for searching by price... now I can hunt to see if I let the 10 go ... or find a gem..

I had no idea what you were talking about at first, so did a Google search. I didn't know House and The Stuff and other titles were reissued!!! Thanks for posting this. I used my points to get House. I haven't seen that movie in forever! I can hardly wait to watch it again... Then I can finally cancel this account. I've had 3 accounts open all year. I didn't want to cancel two of them til I used my points...

They just added a free shipping code: 20111230YEST1D valid on DVD and BD (but not sets, of course). Last year I was able to redeem points, and get free shipping on it, but I just tried it and it does not work this year.

^Free Shipping will not work on a Bonus Points redemption. You always pay normal shipping on such orders, as well as "regular club price".

Glad to hear the free shipping doesn't work with bonus point redemptions... only since I just redeemed points yesterday and if it had free shipping today.. I would feel robbed of my $2.99...

otherwise... I would be sad about free shipping not working..

It's the same code as kenbenobi's from post #1057. It has to be account specific because it is the same code on two of my accounts and on one, it's the $10 off of $25 and on the other, it is the BOGO.

Sounds like it may be a good time to fulfill my last unfulfilled account. To do that, the titles would need to be $19.95 or more AFTER the 50% discount, right? I haven't fulfilled an account in over a year, so I'm rusty on the rules.

Yes, they need to net out at $19.95+. Not a terrible sale if you are trying to build a collection, but not very good at all if you are an account cycler. I'm waiting for the next BOGO, as I need to flip the DVDs which are useless to me. At $10 per, it's tough to do.

Thanks for confirming. I DO cycle accounts. This is my 40th. But I've slowed down the last 2 years. Personally, I think there are some great deals to be had, especially if you can find some TV seasons which get 12 bonus points yet still qualify for the $2.99 max shipping. I just placed an order for 5 titles, and earned 48 bonus points. I got:
Shameless S1 BD - $24.98
V S2 BD - $24.98
Beavis & Butthead V4 BD - $13.48
The Fisher King BD - $8.98
Extract BD - $7.48
Shipping - $2.99
TOTAL - $82.89
With my 48 bonus points, I should be able to get a decent box set at some point. That's actually the most bonus points I've ever had on one account. Plus, I finally fulfilled this account, which needed to do so by the end of March.
