Yes. Just got back from Best Buy and not only does the Blu-Ray Cars come with a slipcover but the Blu-Rays for the Pixar Shorts Collection & Ratatouille do to.

Also saw a slipcover for Project Runway: Season Three.

Ack!

Sorry about that. I used Word to organize everything for me and just copy & pasted into position. Didn't bother to do any kind of proof-reading before I updated. I'll fix it ASAP.

Scott1598 - I've seen Chinatown at a couple of Best Buys and none of them had slipcovers. If anyone's seen it with one, please post.

Sorry, says the man sharing one of the best ongoing resources on DVDTalk. Make sure you don't let something like that happen again. Geesh.

There is a big display full of Warner Brothers DVDS at Walmart where some of them have an exclusive sleeve and a "free inside" promo DVD for The Golden Compass. The ones with the sleeve at my store were each of the 3 Lord Of The Rings movies, Tenacious D:Pic Of Destiny, Snakes On A Plane, Wedding Crashers, Pan's Labyrinth, and The Notebook. Superman Retuns, 300, V For Vendetta, and Blood Diamonds dvds were in the cardboard display as well and were printed on it too, but they didn't have the sleeve at the store I was at. They were in their normal packaging.

DVD-wise, that's all I saw today too.

Does anyone know if all the Spider-Man Trilogy Blu-Rays comes in a slipcase? I could have sworn they came in a little box with the three separate cases inside but I was at Target today and saw theirs had ONE case and a traditional slipcover. The sticker on top actually said "Spider-Man 1-2-3 Target".

UPDATE: Went to Wal-Mart to pick up the Close Encounters exclusive (Grrrrrrr. ALL 4 discs were scratched or scuffed in some way. It's like the people who packaged it did it with their toes!!! Gonna have to return the set in the morning). Anyways, here's the rest of the stuff I saw:

It's A Wonderful Life: 2-Disc Collector's Edition
Cougar Club: Unrated
Somebody Help Me
Avenging Angel
Jerome Bixby's The Man from Earth
Masters of Horror: Dream Cruise
In The Spider's Web

I just remembered a DVD with a sleeve I bought a couple years ago, Pee Wee's Playhouse Christmas Special. Since a lot of the seasonal DVDs still have their sleeves when they are brought back to the stores around the holidays, they might be in the stores when all the Christmas DVDs are out after Thanksgiving.

Hey all,

I just picked up Batman: The Complete 1943 Movie Serial Collection at Big Lots for 3 bucks (!!!) but it didn't come with a slipcover (expected that actually). If anyone has an extra slipcover or knows of where to find an extra, please drop me an e-mail.

Thanks.

You can't. All images must be hosted somewhere.

Upload it to one of the various free online image hosting sites (tinypic, imageshack, etc.) and then link to it like you typically would.

I'll cast a vote for www.photobucket.com, but as they say, any of those will work.

Slipcovers for 11/20/07

Went to Best Buy and this is what I saw:

Titanic: 10th Anniversary Edition
Stir Of Echoes 2: The Homecoming
The Santa Clause 3: The Escape Clause
Hairspray (1 Disc)
Hairspray: Shake & Shimmy Edition
Live Free or Die Hard - Unrated: Special Edition
Garfield Gets Real
My Friends Tigger & Pooh - Super Sleuth Christmas Movie
Katt Williams: American Hustle - The Movie
Robotech - The Shadow Chronicles Movie: 2-Disc Collector's Edition

Blu-Ray:
Hairspray: Shake & Shimmy Edition

Okay. Weird note on Hairspray (at Best Buy at least). They only had the Old Cast slipcover for the 2-Disc version on the floor. I didn't realize there were two versions of the cover until after I saw the Blu-Ray editions. I finally found the Young Cast version in their exclusive Locker Gift Set. I don't know if this means the Young Cast is harder to find or Best Buy just has them all locked up for now.

Just know there are two versions.

EDIT: There's only 1 version of the 2-Disc Hairspray. Read below for more.

Actually, theirs only one slip case. The young cast is on the back, but if you flip it, they can be seen on the front & the older cast will be on the back.

From dvdempire......

OMG! I can't believe I didn't turn the case over to check!! I flipped through them all but never turned one around to see what was on the back.

Color me embarassed.

When I update the list, I'll make sure I note that.

Hmmmmm. Looks like someone took the ball on the Blu-Ray/HD-DVD end. I suppose I should take the Hi-Def stuff off the list and just keep ours DVD only.

Extinction approaches.
