While i'm not in the HD game. I still don't understand the point of HD extra features. In fact,it seems pretty pointless. Since the movie is what matters most. So I'd expect that to be in HD, while the extras should take up as little space as possible.

So even if I did have HD/BR player. I wouldn't whine when a trailer or fluffy featurette or whatever was not in HD.

I'm not in the HD game yet either, but I would disagree with you. If and when I make the move, I would want everything to be in HD. No, it's not the end of the world if a deleted scene or something is it, but it'd be much better if it was. Sort of like now, I buy anamorphic widescreen dvds, and it's pretty annoying when the trailers are non-anamorphic.

I mean, if I go out to dinner and order a nice steak, I hope I don't get a side of instant potatoes and a stack of saltines, even though the steak is what matters most for the meal.

So true! While non-HD extras are not the end of the world, they would be nice.

You know, does it really matter? We have been waiting YEARS for this release, and I assure you, whatever we are getting this time, there is not going to be another dip down the road. So if one of the FIVE CUTS of this movie is not presented in HD, is that really going to make you not want to buy it?

Not yet. Still waiting for that info myself. Since it's 4+ months until release date, we may not know for a while.

If I had to venture a guess, I would guess "no", on account of the fact that there's usually a $5 premium over the corresponding BluRay title to pay for the SD side. There's no such price differential this time.

Let's hope I'm wrong!

Interestingly, the Warner Home Video online store does not list the 5 disc digipacks.

5 Disc briefcase available in all 3 formats, 4 disc digipack in SD only.

Could they have consolidated the number of versions down from the 7 originally planned???

When does the WB store charge your Credit Card? When the order ships or immediately?

WB is REALLY rooking people who want the HD briefcase set. $60.00 more with no extra disc to sweeten the deal like the SD dvd set. The SD dvd briefcase which has the 5th disc is only $44.00 more...

And it would have been nice to see the new documentary done in HD and all the deleted scenes in HD...

Wonder what that white thing on the left is.

So the briefcase has 8 photos, a stupid looking unicorn, a car, and a white thingy.

The white thingy is a lenticular photo...you know, the kind that change images when you tilt them to the light.

Also included in the briefcase sets, but not pictured, is a signed letter from Ridley Scott. Whether those are hand-signed (probably not), stamped (maybe) or just xeroxed (most likely) is anyone's guess.

I take it you're not a fan of the movie. Otherwise you'd know how important the unicorn origami is... and it's not a car, it's a spinner

I know what a lenticular photo is. Wonder why they made it look like a casette tape.

Yea I read about that letter. I was wondering if it were hand signed but as you stated first guess is a no.

Right, a spinner. I know about the unicorn but I've only seen the international cut with extra violence. I believe that doesn't have the unicorn scene.
