Deep Discount have it for $51.90 as part of their 20% sale

I've somehow avoided buying this so far; am pissed off that it is not definitive, having left off features of both season sets; and have just gotten into HD.

I think I'm going to wait for HD. What's another 6 years?

I really do want to finally watch it though, maybe I'll break my no renting rule.

And up until a few hours ago it was like $33 at B&N w/ membership and that 50% off coupon.

Does anyone know if the postcards are a limited thing? My friend got his set the other day and it has no postcards. Instead there is a listing on the inside of the front flap for the contents of each disc, but no flap to hold any postcards nor the cards themselves. Needless to say he's none too happy.

KillerCannabis, they are limited.

I was surprised to see that I received a special gold card in the box I received from DeepDiscount.

I ordered mine from DDD the day the sale started and it's still backordered. I have a feeling I'll get a "cardless" one when it finally does ship.

I'm totally new to Twin Peaks. I got the set and the movie. Should I watch the movie before the series or vice versa? Thx.

I think you should try to watch the movie and then the series. The movie was the prequel to the stories.

There is no other order.

I agree with this as well. There are things in FWWM that you couldn't possibly understand unless you have seen the last episode of the series. So definitely watch that last.

need a little bit of a clear up here folks, I thought i followed this thread and this wonderful release from the beginning, yet I found myself looking through the discs (art/descriptions only) and noticed that episodes go up to 29, but no indication of FWWM.

Is the movie included in this set and just labeled as episodes, or did I not get the "Complete Series"

another weird piece of info, some of the episode menus have no navigation capability. I go to select an episode (rather than choose the wonderful play all function) and in the menu with "play w/ w/o log lady intro" I cannot select anything, and have no choice but to use the play all funtion and skip to desired episode.

Fire Walk with Me is owned by New Line, and the Twin Peaks series is owned by Paramount, so the movie cannot be packaged with the series. You have to buy it separately.

Fire Walk With Me isn't part of the series, so you did get the complete series.

Very true. That, and the first season and first nine or so episodes of the second season are probably the best thing on TV in the past two decades.

This has to be the worst advice ever. Watching the movie first will destroy one of the greatest mysteries ever presented on television for a 1st time viewer. Watch the series first, as others have told you, then the movie.

The movie is a prequel, yes, but it is meant to be watched AFTER watching the series.

Yes...unlike the original Anchor Bay Season 1 set, the pilot is included here.

Both versions of the pilot (international and broadcast) are included yes. Watch the broadcast version, then watch the alternate ending of the international version after you've seen the entire series ideally (the ending can be viewed separately).

I believe it was Lion's Gate, not Anchor Bay.

maybe neither, unless there are some corporate partnerships that i don't know about? On the box it says Republic Pictures, distributed by Artisan.

Do you guys mean Artisan? The US season 1 set was put out by Artisan/Republic Pictures.

Artisan is now Lionsgate. Same company, new name.

Republic Pictures were the original producers, but are not a home video studio. The Season 1 DVD set was distributed by Artisan. The rights have recently shifted to Paramount.

Just received my copy in the mail yesterday which I had actually won online.

Looking forward to watching it as I never saw any of it when it was first shown on TV.
