He was on a boat. I don't remember if there was anything before that. I used to like that one a lot as a kid and I hated the first one. Then I bought that box set years ago, watched them with my wife and I enjoyed the first one and really hated 8. We still haven't finished the ones that came out after that set.

I also hated Jason Goes To Hell since it made zero sense with anything that happened in any of the previous films. Haven't seen it since I was a kid but I have the DVD. Maybe it's better now.

the scariest part of the movie is...
Spoiler:
where did the dog use the bathroom at the entire trip to NYC?

Halloween Crunch is awesome! Green Milk.

Oh no, it's much worse. To me, the Friday series ran out of steam at 5 then got a final jolt with six (again, my favorite in the series) and that was the end of things. New Blood tried but falls short, Manhattan is horrid but Goes to Hell and X are the death blow to the franchise. Freddy vs Jason was also crap and don't even get me started on the remake.

I don't want to go to the 31 Films Side due to spoilers, but does anybody know how to pronounce today's film (Sheitan)? My wife asked me what we're watching tonight, and all I could do is hand her the Netflix envelope.

I expected to pronounce it NSFWly, but it wasn't as bad as I expected. Quite enjoyed it actually. Cassel is amazing.

Picked up Death Proof where I fell asleep last night. That car chase sequence is up there in my favorite movie sequences of all time, and I like it more every time I watch it.

After that I started up the Nightmare on Elm Street marathon. We'll see how many of those I can get through today, and then maybe I'll do the Jason Movies. I watched both series back to back a couple years ago, might as well do it again. Just wish that redbox or netflix had the NoES remake so I could throw that into the mix.

Friday 8 and Nightmare 6 are the examples I think of when I think of either series. I really like these, it's where they are trying to have the most fun with the characters. Also they were both pretty new when I was a kid and getting into horror so that kind of candy coats them for me.

Yeah, I'm not ashamed to admit that I tried to sound out "NSFWly" twice before GETTING IT.

Agreed. I actually liked the visual of Jason being in a city like Manhattan. I just don't like much of everything else around it. Minus Jason punching off Julius' head. Hilarious!

Definitely not looking forward to watching 8 tonight, but I have to do 9 (Goes To Hell) afterward

I actually enjoyed X and the Remake. Both aren't amazing by any means, but I like how fun they are if you check your brain (and expectations) at the door.

No way! That was one of the awesome things about Lepus. That, for some scenes, they'd get regular bunnies and have them hop (in slo-mo) through a miniature set. The slo-mo, the "stampede" sound effects, and the scary music are what make these scenes so terrifying As if bunnies weren't scary enough!

I just finished it....and its just as big a piece of shit as it always has been...I always liked the final shot....but other then that, it is terrible. Now its time for Jason X.

I liked X, and didn't mind the remake, mainly because it didn't try to "re-invent" the series. It stayed with the basics, just added some new ideas. I believe that if there is an established franchise, you shouldn't start over again (I'm looking at you, Eeyore Freddy...).

Now, F5: A New Beginning is generally dismissed by die-hard Friday fans, well, because
Spoiler:
Jason's not the killer!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (or his mother, for that matter)

Or in the case of Leprecaun you just need to lay down a new road. :P

Jason Voorhees would make a great cornerback, he'd know where the ball was going to be thrown, before the quarterback even knew.

Jason X was at least FUN..... now a little break and then its time to move along to Freddy vs Jason...

this is a first for me, but I'm throwing in the towel. I just don't have the energy or time for this challenge. I'm done ... over and out.

Was it because of the movie I hooked you up with?

LOL

no...

I'm gonna try and watch it, since I got a new computer that doesn't take forever to upload and play videos.

I unfortunately got Grand Jury this month and by the end of the day I'm just wiped out... even if I were to try and watch something I'd fall asleep on it.

FYI House of Dracula (1946) is good for crazy checklist damage covering 10% of total checklist items including all the following items (perhaps more?)... vampire, frankenstein, wolfman, 1940s, John Carradine, Glenn Strange, unrated (pre-MPAA), format.
