Sorry, didn't mean to cause any insanity! I'm not even counting TV, just trying to help out other member questions.
Maybe next time a section about just how to count shorts, and then a seperate section on just how to count TV so the two don't intertwine.
Obviously Darth Maher, Shack, and myself all read it differently. No big deal. I think everyone's straight now.

I can almost guarantee it'll be cheaper (and my set'll probably still be unwatched) within six months if I buy it now. Of course, my not buying it will guarantee it'll be OOP in a few months.

Full Films (40 minutes or more) | Counts as 1 entry |
Short films | add them up to total 90 minutes to get 1 entry |
Television shows | add them up to 120 minutes (including commercials) to get 1 entry |
That table can obviously be spruced up to look much nicer, but I think it would work better than the wordy explanation in the first post. Short and simple would work better in this case imo.

Not to keep belaboring this trivial point, but yes, it is simple, but worded in a confusing way. Should be simple, let me try something:

Thanks, but your post in that thread says exactly why I'm hesitating on ordering it right now.

Are they any good, or thoroughly mediocre like the first two MOH seasons?

Fear Itself is basically the same as MOH so it counts. There were only a couple of episodes worth even checking out though.

Yeah, I really hesitated. I've barely seen the show before, maybe a couple syndicated episodes as a kid, but it seems like something right up my alley, as I love Twilight Zone, Night Gallery, and pretty much every anthology show I've ever seen. The deciding factor for me was that by ordering it now I can actually open it and count it for this Challenge, so it won't join the hundreds of other TV seasons sitting unwatched. Hopefully it arrives by the 24th and gives me time to get a season done before Halloween.
I would've jumped on that price a year or two back with no hesitation, but I keep seeing DVDs so cheap these days it's hard for me to convince myself to spend that much for two seasons (although with that many episodes, it's almost more like 3 seasons than 2).

Seven Deaths In The Cat's Eye was solid. Nothing incredible as far as gialli go but worth a watch for a fan of the genre.

Love it when you get 30 minutes into a film with the family, then one asks to go to bed, and watch it another day. I should make them sign a watch-completion contract before starting a challenge movie.
I wasn't familiar with the director's name, Antonio Margheriti, until I researched the movie you named. Turns out he's done a lot of films I've seen. I'll have to check Seven Deaths out.
Edit to add: Oh, I see he used an AKA for most films.

I usually dislike remakes but have purchased a few for the challenge.

I just purchased that yesterday for the challenge. I didn't expect much because it's a remake of an already amazing movie... now after reading your comment I'm going to put off watching it a bit longer.

The thing about this particular remake is the film is completely dull and tedious.

I don't remember any of the episodes, but I recall how excited my brother and I were when we would stay overnight at our great aunt's house in the early 1970s, and watch this before going to sleep.

I don't know if I'd watch it again and if I'd still find it remotely entertaining the second time around. But as a one time viewing, it was a fast paced mindless slasher that delivered a few nice set pieces and gore. It was stupid fun basically and nothing more. Now if I found the film boring, then that would be the biggest crime of all, and I didn't find it boring when viewing it back then. The film had some 'holy shit' moments in it as I recall that received such a response from myself and others as we watched the movie. Those are always fun responses with such films.

^ Yeah, I sort of liked the Black Christmas remake too. But then, I'm a Christmas-junkie so quite biased. A lot gorier than I expected, some good scares.

At least they liked it enough to want to finish it. Most of the stuff I watch, I do solo since I know my wife won't care for it. She did sit through a late viewing of Drag Me To Hell, when before it started she said she'd probably wouldn't finish it and have to go to bed.

Just finished watching Dark Night of the Scarecrow and returned it to Netflix immediately so no one can say it was on a wait (and if there's a wait, go ahead and purchase it). This film is one of my favorites this challenge so far with a creepy suspense and excellent pacing that just keeps piling on. I'm biased against made-for-TV movies but it was a very nice surprise.

Re: 100 Movies. 31 Days. The 6th Annual "October Horror Movie Challenge" (Oct 1-31) P
We just finished Night of the Living Dead, one my wife's all-time favorite movies. I've seen it before, several years ago, but I'm more familiar with the 1990 remake. Tonight I was reminded of how much I'd forgotten and was surprised by how much tension is really sustained throughout the movie. A lot of this has to do with the periodic newscast updates; they're played perfectly straight, as a local broadcast from the period would have covered the story. And give credit to Duane Jones, whose performance as Ben really carries the movie.
