Sounds like a personal attack. Post reported. K, thanks.

Why can't we just all get along and be nice to each other? There's no need to report anyone for abuse. The bad guys are the BDA folks, not us innocent posters who work hard to pay for our entertainment hobbies!

Of course, now that Paramount says they're going to be more focused and release more catalogue product now that they're HD DVD exclusive, the big question remains - When is 'A Night At The Roxbury' going to street?![Smilie](/images/smilies/smile.gif)

I offered to buy his movies for $6 when he stated it was only worth $5. And then he said it was sold already LOL. I support both formats, but people like him should think before they open their mouth. Seriously, if he thinks Blu-Ray movies are worth $5, then back it up instead of lying his teeth off.
I put LOL at the end because i'm laughing at him. I don't have time to play his childish game.

I guess he's never had to boil a disc - lucky him.

Hopefully, the savings are on the way to the consumer once the HD-DVD market share starts to grow. However, I don't think Blu-Ray will be able to reduce their disc costs since these discs are much more expensive to produce.

Folks, you shouldn't be taking this format war out on one another.
Both formats have their positve points and negative points.
This was done to us (the consumer) we didn't do it to each other.
Anger and frustration should be taken out towards the big corporations.
I've held off buying a player (and movies) until this is over. If it ever will be. Bad enough I have a huge pile of dvd's that I may not have ever purchased had I known what I know today. Not to mention all the videotapes I pretty much gave away. So I can understand how you might feel.

Gee, he's so eloquent.
I hate to burst your bubble, but the word behind the scenes was that Spielberg was incredibly unhappy with Michael Bay during the shooting of Transformers, and was already saying he did not want Bay directing the next film.
In the end, Bay has no more integrity than Paramount. If he gets offered enough, he's going to do Transformers 2. If he's already been booted from Transformers 2, than this is just sour grapes.

Blu-ray proponents say this announcement is the deathknell for HDM only because they can no longer envision Blu-ray dealing a knockout punch by Xmas. The concept that HD-DVD could conceivably pull this off in the long run, or that the two formats could co-exist side by side, is not a possibility to them. Which speaks to the arrogance bred into the format by Sony, hollywoodinhighdef.com, TDB, etc., etc.

Sony is just lucky this didn't happen eight or nine months ago. This would be the HD DVD forum.

Oh, I'm not arguing that he will continue to direct. It's just that the word was that he was already on the outs with Spielberg and wouldn't be doing Transformers 2 before this announcement anyway.

I haven't even received my PS3 I ordered last week yet, and I'm already saving pennies for HD. I think that will wait until Braveheart is released though.
