The thing the BDA must be concerned with is WB because Paramount might have just thrown the permission slip into Time Warner's mailbox.

Rather, a WalMart or Best Buy exclusive deal.
We've already seen them work a deal with Target.
Unfortunately, mass adoption begins at WalMart.

All Time Warner properties went neutral at the same time, and it's not because they each decided to. It happened because it was a TW mandate for them to do so. You can see how it was written up at bluray-disc.com under an Oct. 20, 2005 article. Time was running out on certain aspects of the Blu-ray specs and Warner wanted to make sure they had the finger in the proverbial pie in case Blu-Ray was the winner. This includes their BD-9 push back in the day.

Worthless attention whore. It's beyond comprehension that he hasn't been banned for pulling this same stunt again and again and again and again and again and again. Keep telling people what they want to hear and you're guaranteed enough suckers to keep buying into it.
The biggest move I can think of right now would be a 30th anniversary Star Wars set, but I don't peg that as especially likely. Something related to Wal-Mart or Best Buy would be the other.

I'm very happy with this announcement since I own the A2 player
Sure I would like to have a movie like Casino Royale in HD but it's not so I accept it and move on

I think this is the most interesting part of that interview:
PCW: Will this exclusive period extend for a limited time, or is this an indefinite arrangement?
Bell: At this moment in time, it's an indefinite commitment. The core of this announcement comes from our experience, and what our consumers are looking for. We hope this will influence consumers' choices.

Paramount: No Recall on Existing Blu-ray Titles, But Supplies Won't Be Replenished
Blu-ray fans, get 'em while they're hot: Paramount/DreamWorks has confirmed that they will discontinue production on all past Blu-ray catalog after current retail supplies are depleted.
Following Paramount/DreamWorks' HD DVD-exclusive turnabout that rocked the high-def world this Monday, the question remained: just what would happen to the studios' past Blu-ray releases currently available on store shelves?
We've received confirmation from Paramount that though there will be no "recall" of any past Blu-ray titles, the studio will cease production on its entire Blu-ray catalog, and they will no longer be available once current market supplies have been depleted.
In other words, Blu-ray fans hoping to pick up copies of such hits as 'M:i:III,' 'World Trade Center,' 'Dreamgirls' and 'Flags of our Fathers' better do so fast, as they're soon to become collector's items.
This news follows yesterday's confirmation that Paramount had cancelled the Blu-ray SKUs for all of its previously-announced upcoming Blu-ray titles, including 'Top Gun,' 'Face/Off,' and 'Blades of Glory,' (the latter of which had been scheduled for release next Tuesday).

so this kills the rumors of universal going neutral... maybe this can tone down the rumors and threads from being created
"To me it is a validation of a strategic stance we have taken, and I am so pleased that Paramount and DreamWorks have done as thorough an evaluation as they have done and come to the same exactly conclusion that we did long ago, which is that with HD DVD we have a format that offers the best and most affordable consumer experience," said Craig Kornblau, president of Universal Studios Home Entertainment. Universal was the only studio to exclusively support HD DVD.

I really hope no one actually believes that Beatboy has "inside sources". Alot of times he posts upcoming releases that his "sources" just told him about, and it is stuff that has already been discussed elsewhere on the net. That guy is a joke.
