I've got a Mits 65" DLP , and this set is easily the blu-ray of the year. A/V and extras, just top notch work.

Thank you Francis Ford Coppola and Robert A. Harris.

Also got a 65" Mits DLP. Great deal on it, too.

Just got the set in the mail. Only one problem: There's no place for the booklet to go! Too big for the case, and it was just stickied to the back.

It should fit perfectly into the slipcase. That's where I placed it.

They should be. Every copy at Target had the booklet. It's not exclusive.

Just saw the first one for the first time ever, awesome movie, loved it. Feel free to slap me, but I did NOT recognize Al Pacino AT ALL, didn't know it was him until the credits.

But I did notice Abe Vigoda after a while.

Just watched 1.

Wow. I am amazed at how this movie looks. It is perfect on my 98 inch projector.

I am in awe. I could see the red in Luca's eyes when he was gasping.

Well worth the $60 from amazon.

The movie is miles above the dvd release from a few years back.

Be sure to rent Dog Day Afternoon and Serpico to see some more early Pacino at his peak.

I'm really amazed by how this looks now, great job on the restoration. Watching the diner scene, all I could focus on was how red the signs in the window were.

I thought the booklet was pretty worthless, unless you're planning to make your own custom covers and put these discs in separate cases. They've pretty much given you the front and back covers for all three films and the bonus disc. In that sense it's kinda kewl, but as an actual booklet -- useless.

Has anyone who ordered it from Family Video received it or any word that it has shipped? I haven't heard anything from them yet.

Also, why the hell did they have to make the booklet just big enough so that it doesn't fit in the case? Seriously, they could share 1/4 an inch and it would have fit. But no, it's forced to sit glued to the back of my case. Sure, it'll be kept in great condition, but c'mon now!

My copy didn't come in from Amazon... maybe tomorrow?

My copy from Amazon came in a yellow envelope. A yellow envelope!! Sometimes I'll order 5 DVDs from them and get 5 boxes... this time I order a boxset and get a yellow envelope.

Yes, I pre-ordered from Family Video and it came yesterday in a bubble envelope. I was worried that it might have some slight damage but it was fine. I did have one floater, disk 2, but it wasn't scratched.

Luck all,
George

Wow....Im stuck in Boston til end of next week, but cant wait to see this set!

I have a 71in Sammy DLP and LOVE it. Ive had numerous tv's in the past few years and I can honestly say that I love this set and am not thinking of changing it. I also have a 40in LCD in my living room, but the DLP is the gem.

BTW - If you havent had yours calibrated, use Avical. Those guys are GREAT. It might be one of the reasons I love my set even more now.

You got scissors or a mat cutter? I just cut about an 8th of an inch off the bottom (which doesn't cut off any info) and it fits nicely in the case. Done and done.

Same. I'm a little disappointed in the outer box, not as good as the previous DVD set... easily prone to dings, dents and scratches.

Had my first freeze on my PS3 during part3... it's not the disc as I played it again and it was fine during the same spot. Anyone else have this come up? Kinda disheartening... I plan on having my PS3 for awhile so I hope it holds up.
