Wrap Party tonight! Wahooo! Yabba Yabba Dooooo! Yoooooo Joe!!!!

Since we saw (heard) something very close to a Trailer (which ran for more than 3 minutes) at the Hasbro’s Investor Day 2011, we can safely assume that this is indeed the Wrap Party for the 2nd movie.

The movie is now in the Post Production stage and is set to release on June 29th, 2012.

G. I. Joe: Retaliation stars Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson as Roadblock and Bruce Willis as General Joe Colton.

You heard it here first.
Given the same was announced for the first movie and the "major" character turned out to be Cover Girl, I'm betting on Tunnel Rat or Mouse this time around. If it's truly a major character, it'll be Joe Colton in a heroic last stand.

too much to hope for but that action would be better appreciated for Duke.

I didn't dislike Duke one bit. He came across as a cookie-cutter soldier. The same he was in the cartoon and the comics.

If you haven't ready the Chuck Dixon penned IDW relaunch, Duke is a much more solidly written character.

It looks like they gave him something closer to body armor too. I like that much better then rubber muscles and baggy pants.

It’s Rumor Time. But in fact this rumor surfaced a long time ago when we first heard of a character called Mouse is in G. I. Joe: Retaliation. Pretty soon, Joe Mazzello was chosen for the job.

Entertainment Site; Comic Book Movie states that they have received an e-mail from someone claiming to be working for the upcoming movie letting them know of that Sgt. Slaughter is in Retaliation.

It is said that it was Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson who plays Roadblock suggested to Director Jon M Chu to include the character as a Cameo.

If true, this will come as no surprise since Robert Remus, who is the real life WWE personality which the fictional character based on, is in the same profession as The Rock.

Reportedly, the Joe's will be on the run from Cobra at some point during the film and Roadblock (Dwayne Johnson) states he knows where they can hide out for a while, with the man who trained him to be a Joe. Enter Sgt. Slaughter and the Slaughter House!!!!!!
We've Seen the 'G.I. Joe: Retaliation' Trailer!

This definitely is Jon M. Chu’s G.I. Joe. If you saw Step Up 3-D you know that was not a dance movie. It was an action movie, and the most insane outrageous action movie that the studios just aren’t making for us anymore.

Well, G.I. Joe speaks that language. You’ve got the trappings of army guys and governments and tactics and weapons. The plot of this sequel leads to a moment that’s so ‘80s cartoon Cobra Command, you won’t believe they had the balls to do it in a live action movie. It’s not the spectacle per se, but what it represents is the right direction for a crazy soldier action movie.

There’s a whole lot more of The Rock in this trailer than Channing Tatum, and a lot of new characters. The greatest new character makes his appearance at the end of the trailer in a classic badass style befitting his legendary persona.

But there are other sequences that promise to be Jon Chu masterpieces. A face off between squads of swordsmen in a certain setting looks like the perfect application of an action figure’s special accessories’ in a movie environment.

The whole tone of the trailer looks more hardcore, like not a bright glossy four quadrant pleaser, but one that knows what an explosion and a gunfight means. And this is just a trailer. We know how Chu can put together a movie. Hell, he even made Justin Bieber look cool!

You should be able to see the trailer for yourself this week and I’ve been purposefully vague about the best details so no spoilers. Of course, when you see them in the trailer, the rest of the movie better live up to this! The whole movie comes out June 29, 2012.

The wait is nearly over. We are less than 6 Hours away from the public reveal of G. I. Joe: Retaliation Teaser Trailer.

The producers are getting ready for the big reveal as we speak.

The Official UK G. I. Joe Movie Page has been updated with a Silver G. I. Joe Logo as the Profile Image.

They have also posted an "Event" for us to Join.

Paramount Pictures Twitter Account is pointing us to the above FB Page with…

"If you don't have a bedtime, then you can watch the #GIJOE2 EXCLUSIVE trailer debut here late tonight!"
