Depends on if you consider mocapped CGI "animated." Personally, I don't.

It looked like maybe there were a few “Human” objects (and at least one actual human) in the trailer that may or may not be CGI.

I’m not convinced Sam Worthington has ever not been a CGI creation.

Looks great! I’m really looking forward to where it goes. Cameron and his writers had a lot of time to get it right.

Cameron has spent the last 12 years working on the technology and inventing new 3D cameras and stuff. He probably wrote the script while taking a longer than average shit.

Looks like more of the same to me. I mean visually it looks cool, but I really have very little interest.

Same. I know it's just a teaser but really felt unmoved by it.

Holy cow 4 sequels! I thought it would be 3. My goodness. James Cameron is really invested in this franchise. I didn't hate the first one it was a cute film.

Actually he brought in established writers for most of it. Which is a change of pace and the results should be interesting. And I think he is just livin life in New Zealand too. And the deep sea dive.

Well, that trailer makes the movie look rather... mediocre. Great visuals, again, but is there a story here? Not much of one last time, and as teasers go this was pretty weak.

It's just the first trailer, but, man, there isn't much there to get excited about. And I liked the first one.

I'm only going to watch this in black and white as well as 2D- too much friggin' blue in these movies. Hopefully they will at least make a de-blued version.

Looks like more of the same. Which is great for fans, but is that enough after so long?

Sully is no longer controlling an avatar body. It's his real body.

So what's the namesake avatar?
I feel like the series is named after something that doesn't exist in the story anymore.

I wouldn't think that notion of an "Avatar" is exclusive to just Sully. The other scientists, humans, etc., will still use an avatar. They're even saying that the general will get cloned and put into an avatar, too.

Stephen Lang is listed in Avatars 2-5, so that makes sense.

The poor guy is 69. He'll be dead before we ever find out why Eywa is on a quest.

i just can't wait for the inevitable Avatar/Smurfs crossover movie starring Sam Worthington and Neil Patrick Harris.
