We got Gunn for it and Feige is a big ass fan. Never thought I'd see big thing like Marvel Studios and actually hitting the beats or at the very least taking the risk for it.

James Gunn is awesome. I won a "Super" autographed script from him 2 years ago on FB. It was signed by him and the cast.

I've seen Super, which was fun but nothing particularly special that would interest me in his movies in particular. Writing some Troma stuff and Scooby-Doo certainly doesn't really intrigue me. So unless Slither is ridiculously awesome, i'm not sure what stands out.

Although being married to Jenna Fischer is a plus.

I'd love to see a Nova film. But only it was done in the vein of what Nova is like now. Man, they really made him super fucking cool with Annilihation.

One of the great successes by Marvel is getting great talent in front and behind the camera rather than get people who are seen as box office draws. It seems to keep their initial costs down and allows more creative freedom to make these movies something really special. I know Marvel has been given a hard rap for low balling people, but if a movie becomes a franchise and is well done then everyone is a winner. All the Avengers actors must be raking it in for each new movie they do.

I have had a good feeling about GotG since i first heard it being announced. I think we are gonna see another Iron Man scenario, meaning that most of the general public are not aware of them, but the movie will prove to be a huge success. I think the casting so far seems to be superb, providing interesting actors who seem to fit the part rather than celebs and some of the initial design work looks amazing. I think by the end of 2014 this is gonna prove to be a real highlight of the year and a sequel already getting looked into.

Anybody think that if this is a hit we would see any of the GotG in other Marvel films or maybe break out into a solo film? RR and Groot could be a fun duo in a film.

I don't see much of Nova's actual costume in that design, but there is a mandate to keep bright colors like yellow off the screen in Hollywood. In ten years every character will be dressed in various shades of black.

I don't think he's supposed to be Rich Rider. I've yet to hear that he'll be in here. They're a Corps. So many people in it. Wouldn't it be funny if the Nova Corps were much cooler than The Lantern Corps, in live action?


I don't think that'd work. While I love RR and Groot's friendship, I don't think they'd hold for long without the rest. Plus Marvel wants to get as much of their characters out as they can. If GOTG rocks like a motherfucker and has enough of a beat to possibly top, i'd be game for a sequel. We know Thanos isn't the main baddie for Avengers 2. And Thanos is very involved somehow in this film. But not as the big bad...as far as we know. Maybe Thanos is for Avengers 3?

Marvel is pretty mum about wtf they're leading too. It's exciting.
