As said, it has a lot of stuff that could get it bank. Also a fucking raccoon that shots stuff? $$$$$$ I'm sure Rocket will be very popular in a proper trailer, once he has a voice actor. Man, I'd love it if they could just the current guy voicing him. Him and Groot. They rock.

Looks like Vin Diesel is confirming that he's Groot. Awesome. I do hope we have a mention of Groot thinking the team should be called "Groot and Branches"

I wonder how much work he'll have to do for this role? Wouldn't it just be have an hour of recording him saying "I am Groot" and some grunts and groans for lifting things/punching things?

Pretty much, yeah. Though each "I am Groot" means something different. So I'm assuming they'll focus on the delivery of something like that. Maybe he's just saying "I am Groot" or maybe he's saying complex and elaborate?
THOUGH in Annilihation he did speak full sentences, rather sophisticated ones. He was burned down, surviving through a sprig. He did still talk but once he fell into GotG. His phrase became the thing.
Not that it really matters but for the sake of humor, I wonder if they'll bring in that he's the last monarch of Planet X? He's fucking royalty. I know way too fucking much about this comic and it's characters. I'm way too excited to see this film.

I'm guessing because they got someone like Vin, they will give Groot more lines, didn't he say more than just 'I am Groot' before he was returned from a sapling?

If you go by that reasoning you could say nearly every film is a failure. I don't think Marvel are even expecting that but like some one said before, a worldwide bank of $400 sounds good.
I've hardly heard of GotG before this film was announced. They have got my money based on the pirated trailer.

Someone mentioned that Bradley Cooper is well known for his voice impersonations, apparently his Christopher Walken is spot on.

Same brit voice in the very cool Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes cartoon that Disney cancelled. Those bastards.
I'm not cool with this but Cooper does have a bit of gruff in his voice. Maybe he'll change it up a bit. He is kind of a surprising person at times. He could make it pretty cool.

Ronan the Accuser is the main bad guy and Thanos does figure into the story, too:
