Ah, got it. Well it seemed like a good start with the Dark Knight and Man of Steel franchises, but then they hired Zack Snyder and any chance of them melding was gone. I actually don't like most of the Marvel ones so I guess that's whatever, I give them props to adapting their franchises at such a rate and sustaining an acceptable quality.

Why not? Plenty of women saw The Avengers. And anecdotally, my wife is pretty excited about this too and she knows nothing about Marvel outside of the movies.

Usually comic book movies dont draw the females but once they see a Talking Racoon with the voice of Cooper, that'll change. Girl's will constantly see RR on all of the Disney Channels.

Women don't go to see movies just for buff bodies, just like men don't. It's nice to see, but in the day of internet porn, if you're spending $12 you better be interested in the story as well. And there are plenty of women who are interested in "geeky" stories like Star Wars and the Avengers. This is the age of the geek. It's not women that are bringing that extra Avengers money, it's families. If the kiddies are interested, it'll make big bucks.
