Kind of wish we had more Rocket and Groot. The others aren't that wild to take in but I think the trailer would be a bit better seeing those two a bit more.

I believe that was the first "Racoon adjusting junk" in a major motion picture I am aware of. Unless some Disney animator got pissed off and it hasn't been found yet.

Technically... Disney has nothing to do with Marvel... In its creative aspect. So we're good.

I don't know how it would work in this trailer either, but i'm still surprised earlier teasers or whatever didn't at least make the link between this movie and everything else more apparent and some form other then just a Marvel logo.

I'd hope the audience gets that the MCU inhabits other regions beyond Asgard and our planet. Cuz... The Avengers made it apparent that it is a much larger universe that we don't know about.

No clue but I doubt it. I'm kind of glad they didn't go 616 on their ranks from what I can see. I thought Nova was ok when I grew up with him in the early 90s. Annihilation made me love him though. That and the suit used. That thing looked awesome.

My 9 year old daughter likes watching the Marvel movies with dad and I'd have to believe this would be no exception .... she might even want to see a DC movie if it had a talking raccoon (but I'd pass)

Looks great of course, but this is still going to be a pretty fascinating experiment box office wise. I think the Disney/Marvel combo will get this over Pacific Rim numbers, but it may not be a lot more.. 125+ domestic, 450+worldwide. Still bigger than most of the Phase 1 movies, but scale and expectations have changed since than as well.

And that's a conservative estimate, if the movies as fun and well received as the trailer, I think 500m is very do-able, and would be a nice benchmark for success. If the fans can get the lumbering, lifeless Pac Rim to 400+, I'd like to think this one will be ok.

I know less than poopnuggets about Guardians of the Galaxy (save for the 30th century Marvel team of the 70s-90s), and this has got me SOLD.

If it's a success, it opens the doors for a lot of comic book movies on properties with ZERO recognizability. For better or worse.
