I would so buy that in an instant. I wonder if Marvel knows how much money they're missing out on by not having Dancing Groots available.

It will pass $300 million domestic this weekend and is closing in on $600 million worldwide. It still hasn't opened in Japan or China.

Putting aside as to what the quality of the 3D may be for any specific film.

I've only done IMAX for the films that did use the format. So TDKR, TDK, MI5, and I think that's it for me.

If you care most about visual presentation then go with IMAX.
If you care most about audio presentation then go see movies mixed in Dolby Atmos.

IMAX 3D, IMO, is superior compared the Real3D. After having my mind fucking blown during Gravity in IMAX3D... I'll never pay for a RealD ticket again.

I don''t go to the theater near enough to be fully educated on the differences- but I was not all that impressed with my viewing of Avatar in Real3D.
I think Hugo and Tintin were also Real 3D screenings and , again, none left a hugely positive impression.
When I saw Gravity, I made sure to get the tickets to the Imax 3D showing. Even though it wasn't a true Imax screen, the 3D was exceptional and it did impress me. I can't remember which I had for Guardians, but I had no complaints- it looked great. I think it may have been Imax 3D 'cause at that point I was putting stock in the difference and when I bought the ticket I recall being optimistic about the 3D not disappointed that I was getting stuck with second best.

Holy crap! A $3.99 buffet!

Obi-Wan Jabroni -- is that yarn? Brilliant!

These may be out for Christmas, but they really missed the boat on these. Hell, they should have been selling them in the theaters as the movie let out! Did Disney turn this over to the same galoots who failed to properly market John Carter of Mars?

I should clarify that it's not mine, I didn't make it and I don't know who did. A friend just shared it on Facebook and I thought it was pretty damn cool, so I shared it here.

Text Groot and he texts you back:

http://www.avclub.com/article/text-g...view:1:Default

Readers with children and without unlimited text messaging are advised to block the number (866) 740-4531 on their offspring’s devices immediately, lest they be hit with a phone bill of approximately seven billion units. That’s because that number leads to the Groot chatbot, the handheld equivalent of the Groot button created by developer Ricky Robinett. Robinett tweeted Monday that he was developing “a new SMS chatbot with some pretty amazing AI,” which is a sarcastic joke for reasons that really shouldn’t have to be explained at this point. Since the Groot-bot launched Monday night, Robinett estimates that it has sent over 72,000 text messages (up from 30,000 yesterday afternoon), meaning that there are a lot of Guardians Of The Galaxy fans out there who are drunk, lonely, easily amused, giving out fake numbers to creeps at bars, or some combination thereof.

Still too late for my last commitment title with Disney. I'm going to just get a couple Miyazaki BDs.

Is it worth staying in the Disney Movie Club after your 5 movie commitment is done?

Not unless you want to order a bunch of box sets or something at buy 1, get 60% off the rest of your order. Otherwise, DMC is only good for cycling thru enrollment packages and commitments over and over.

If you sign up with the right code — see the thread in the Clubs forum — you should only have three commitments, one of which is used during enrollment, and an average BD cost of about $9. I started another Disney Club membership recently, with an eye to getting 2 copies of GotG as my commitments (one for myself, one for a friend).

I would have preferred a more moving side to side dance.
