God, enough with Tatooine already. Here's a small remote planet without anything on it in a galaxy of limitless potential, and it's been featured in almost every SW movie. And the one movie without Tatooine was the best one.

I think that you forgot about Tatooine being featured in the front 1/3rd of ROTJ.

Considering the abysmally bad way they showed Annie turn, I hope they stay away from anything like that. I still do not understand why he decided that old palpi was a stand up guy.

From SW to Jedi is finally on youtube! Used to have this on VHS, a shame it wasn't on the blu-ray set:

I read an article (forgot where) that stated the original draft for Episode Vii - presumably based on Lucas' outline - read more like a direct remake of A New Hope. George's "rhyming" philosophy with these trilogies feels more like an excuse for unoriginality. Apparently, the Abrams/Kasdan rewrites overhauled the story a great deal -- but my gut tells me that J.J. will still try to shove as much OT nostalgia into these films as humanly possible. Really hope I'm wrong, but the "alien house" mentioned in The National article will probably end up being the Mos Eisley cantina.
Above all, I want the new films to set a their own course without copying what came before. Sadly, that's probably too much to ask out of Hollywood. With a four billion dollar investment, I have little doubt Disney will make sure this film plays it as safe (and sadly, formulaic) as possible.

You know at some point Han's going to say to Luke "hey kid!" lol...like 30+yrs hasn't passed. And he'll say to one of the young cast members "no match for a good blaster at your side!". Guaranteed. But those kinds of throwaway lines are fun, I just hope the whole storyline/planets, etc isn't just a copy.

From what I read Episode 7 is all about finding Luke (who supposedly went into isolation after Episode 6) to help them fight this new enemy. One one hand, it does look like a carbon copy of Star Wars (Leia sends R2D2 to look for Obiwan, etc). Now we will probably see Han/Leia and their kids go look for Luke, etc.)
I have to say I kinda of like this start to the trilogy, cause it makes Han, Luke, and Leia play an important part, and they aren't there just as a nostalgia trip. If they had Leia in the Senate, Luke running a Jedi Academy, and Han flying around in space, and the kids doing all the work in Episode 7, you would have to question why the Big 3 were needed?
But if they are looking for Luke, it opens up many storylines: Why did Luke go into isolation for all those years? Did he ever get over that his father was Darth Vader? Why hasn't he talked to Han/Leia? Does he resent being a Jedi and what the Jedi stood for? It makes Luke's character much more intesting, instead of just being a Yoda-type character who runs a Jedi Academy for the past 30 years.

I read somewhere that the film will be Han and the three kids trying to find Luke who hasn't been seen in decades to fight the Sith. The Sith will destroy Tatooine with the Death Star 3 and then Han and the kids will find Luke on a near by planet that the Sith have stranded him on to make him watch them blow it up.

Both photos are well into the weight loss routine (notice she's grown her hair out), but the first one was taken a month or two ago.
All things considered, Carrie looks better than she has in years. She was noticeably thinner around 2007 (circa her IMDb headshot), but has been on kind of roller coaster ever since. I mean no disrespect, but her appearance on The Today Show a few years back was a bit startling:
I'm sure the studio didn't want to push Hamill or Fisher to any kind of extreme with the diet/exercise regime. They're far too valuable to the franchise. A crash diet or strenuous workout routine can take it's toll on anyone, let alone people in their late fifties/early sixties who aren't in top shape to begin with. I do know Fisher had switched to electronic cigarettes as early as last spring. Not sure if that was a personal decision, but hopefully it helped alleviate the strain on her voice.

You know, I think there's an awesome Star Wars movie to be made where Leia's a fat slob, Han's always flying around the galaxy so he doesn't have to face her, and Lando's a washed up drunk who's trying to get the New Republic to reimburse him for the loss of Cloud City.
