The snowspeeders were completely outclassed on Hoth. Their blasters couldn't even put a dent in the Imperial walkers even though we know those things can be taken down by a couple large logs. They were probably nothing more than scout craft that weren't meant for anything more than bullseyeing wampas.

But remember, the Rebels weren't trying to win on Hoth. The speeders were just buying time for the evacuation. The Rebels probably used them because they didn't want to risk their precious space fighters in a rearguard action.

The one funny line that Han says to Rey, "You're gonna need this." in the 4th TV spot is better then any attempt at humor in the PT.

That is why Han Solo is so valuable to SW movies, even though the OT was about Luke. Han Solo brings a coolness and much needed comedy to the movies so they don't take themselves seriously. He is worth the price of admission, IMO.

I will always defend the PT exchange between Obi Wan and Anakin - "We came to rescue you..." "... Good job."

It says more about their relationship in a few seconds than the rest of the PT combined. When Obi Wan says "and he was a good friend in ROTJ", that brief exchange on Geonosis says it all: it was a dumbass move by Anakin, but now that they're together, they're gonna get shit done.

Empire magazine has a surprising revelation (re: physical appearance) about Supreme Leader Snoke:

Spoiler:
Apparently, the character is 25 feet tall.

I shudder to think what THAT Hot Toys figure would cost...

I can't help it--the "why do I get the feeling you'll be the death of me?" line amuses me.

I never understood why they were called snowspeeders of they were having trouble adapting to the snow.

They were only called speeders in the movie. The name Snowspeeder probably became famous because the toy was called that.

I know in the comics, they used the speeders in other environments so they were an all purpose ship.

A good article. As long as I live long enough to see the movies with the OT characters I will be happy.

"I'm curious that the Force doesn't get muddled into a bunch of garbledygook."
Don't you mean midi-chlorians, George? Good luck with those experimental films, bud. Hopefully you can attain that elusive creative freedom that your billions of dollars and state-of-the-art facilities never managed to accomplish.

Hey, he's clearly on a roll with the experimenting. He executive produced Red Tails and Strange Magic.

New footage related to the movie was added recently to the updated Star Tours ride. Looks pretty awesome, but many contain some spoilers.

Yes. Many easter eggs littered around the queue of that aatraction. The more time you spend in there, the more you catch.
