Children of the Corn: Runaway (2018) — Found this to be absolutely boring and perplexing, not in a good way. It is more pschological horror than anything but even then, just found it to be a waste of time. Not sure why this franchise has gone 9 (?) films in. Just stop. 2.0/5

Band Aid:

Well made indie.
Lots of chuckles initially that eventually peter out into a weepy "woe is me" film for Gen Xrs..
Although it has its moments, ultimately I became bored.
It's film for someone 30 years younger than I.

Oceans 11,12 & 13. I think the ejoyability of these really goes best from first to last but I like them all regardless. 5/5. 4/5 3.5/5

Firecreek. I've been trying to watch more westerns and I loved the Cheyenne Social Club so I gave this a try because James Stewart and Henry Fonda being in it. I liked it alot but felt like James Stewart was too much of a push over at first. 4.5/5

The Money Monster - Didn't know what to expect from this one, but I ended up enjoying it alot felt really sorry for the Protagonist at the end. 4.5/5

This movies proves how mediocre Walhberg is.

He is a movie star but he sucks as an actor.

Suspiria (1977) — Great aesthetics and good performance from the lead, pretty lackluster story. 4.0/5

I think I saw this on Cinemax (or Showtime) several weeks back and I wanted to like it because I love the main cast members but wow this turned out to be one of the bigger disappointments I have seen in quite some time. You nailed it, a handful of good scenes that just peters out as you get deeper into the film

The other Churchill movie though Brian Cox resembles him more than Oldman though Oldman got the awards nominations and the Oscar.

Shock Wave (2017)

Rented this on Amazon Video a few weeks ago, but finally made the time to watch it today.

Really compelling terrorism/cop thriller from Hong Kong. Very dark, tense & violent, but well directed and a good performance by Andy Lau.

Tomb RaiderJust got back from a matinee showing. It was OK as expected but nothing great. I give it a 2.5/5 or a C. Had some action and adventure but not much else. Use Moviepass. Don't drop a full price evening ticket on it. Wait for a matinee or other discount show. Or just wait for the rental. I enjoyed but if I had dropped $10 on it I would not find it worth it. I usually find athletically built women sexy but Vikander looks like a teenage boy in this.

Pitch Perfect 3 (2017) — Inoffensively average. Got a few chuckles but otherwise forgettable, probably only kept my attention since I love Anna Kendrick. 2.75/5
