My insiders have informed me that Ray Fisher is going to be cast as Cyborg. Looking for confirmation now!

Fisher Stevens + Johnny 5=Cyborg. I like it.

Fisher looks the part, seems like a solid choice for Cyborg to me. Not very keen on having yet another character added to this film though.

I bet all these cast members will be blink-and-you'll-miss-them cameos and all in their civilian personas to boot.

They have to be filming this and JLA at the same time now. It just makes sense to end BvS on a cliffhanger to JLA.

To me even if that is the case it still seems stupid. What's the point in even doing that really? If the idea is so that the characters are established in the film universe when they do the Justice League film they still aren't doing much to establish them by just having them pop up for a few seconds or whatever. It's either that or they end up trying to actually make some of these characters have larger roles which could just end up turning the film into a giant mess. I guess I just don't follow what it is that DC/Warner is trying to do with this film. Still seems like they just want to be like Marvel only they expect to do it in one film.

I think that is the case.

BTW, just read that the Fisher King has been cast as Cyborg. Developing story.

I wouldn't be surprised if they announced a Justice League movie at SDCC this year with a release date of July 2016. That would make MOS2 in May leading into JL in July.

I just heard that Joey Fisher has been cast as Cyborg. CNN has breaking news.

Or some will also appear in subsequently larger (albeit still minor) roles in subsequent DC movies. Just think of these movies as episodes of a TV series. Lots of recurring roles start out small (a brief scene or two, tops) and a few get promoted to regular cast members.

The thing is in my opinion, that is what they should be doing. If they end up making films after the Batman/Superman film and don't jump straight into a Justice League film that's fine. If they're wanting to just jump right into a Justice League film after this and give little build to any of the characters that aren't Batman or Superman that's kind of a shitty way to go about doing the film. I've said it before but the reason that The Avengers worked so well is that they built the characters up gradually. Just putting a bunch of characters together in one film I don't think will make this film or an eventual Justice League film anything special.

I am really getting fired up for this movie.

Supes/Bats are going to be the main focus, with WW/Cyborg (and whoever else) as second characters.

Bring it on.

I don't think the secondary characters will get much screen time in MOS 2. We'll get a quick scene at the end in which Batman has to convene all the heroes together, leading into a real Justice League movie. I've heard WB is more likely to go with Batman and the Outsiders as a working title.

It's unconfirmed at the moment whether Superman remains in the final script.

Actually, if anything Superman will be the one to get them together and needing to convince Batman to join since he's more of a loner of the group... at least the way I've seen him portrayed in the past.

re: Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice (2016) (D: Snyder; S: Gadot)

The more i hear about this movie the less interested in makes me. I would be very happy just to have had a solo Man of Steel 2 movie, or at least Batman vs Superman with just those two characters. Having small cameos from other characters will end up being the same as what happened with Hawkeye in the Avengers....disappointment. Personally i think it would have been better to try and keep and tertiary characters as secret as possible, that way when seeing the final movie the surprise would be nice and no expectations would be created.

Cyborg is a weak character, however i can imagine DC/Warners want someone that can be used as a kind of Iron Man for their movies and who primarily uses technology to actually be a super hero.

I think we're going to hear an announcement that this isn't a Man of Steel sequel at all pretty soon.

Cyborg is not a weak character. At least not when he is with the Teen Titans where he belongs.

The real reason DC replaced Martian Manhunter with Cyborg in the New 52 wasn't because he vaguely resembles Iron Man. It was because he is black. Marvel and DC are big on adding diversity in their comics in recent years. Heck, they just reintroduced Wally West into the New 52 as a black guy in the last Flash issue.

And the fact that Geoff Johns is a big Super Powers fan, and Cyborg was JLA in that.

Yep.

Spoiler:
Wally also hasn't been born yet in the current New 52 timeline. Barry goes 20 years into the future and meets a then teenage black Wally.
