People are amazed I don't like it. I can't remember what was the last good Sitcom I ever saw. I remember liking some 1970s stuff in reruns.

BBT sure as hell isn't something I like though.

I also get people who I assume I like BBT because I like nerdy crap. I can't watch that show for more than 2 minutes before my ears start to bleed.

Oh, and this is the only revisionist Aquaman that counts in my book.

There was also the more recent Sword of Atlantis version of Aquaman. But that wasn't the real Arthur Curry.

Not sure exactly what you mean by a Conan type, but in the 1990s Aquaman lost his hand because it was eaten by piranhas. (Seriously. He temporarily lost the power to "talk to fish" and piranhas ate his hand.) Then he got a new harpoon hand as shown on that picture someone posted earlier with Momoa holding an Aquaman comic with his harpoon hand. Then Aquaman got long hippy hair and a beard and started going shirtless for awhile.

That was pretty typical of the 90s. Every character was getting radical new designs. Just look at Jean Paul Valley as Batman in the pic below. Jean Paul was the guy who temporarily replaced Bruce Wayne after Bane broke Bruce's back.



Then in the early 2000s Aquaman returned more to his traditional look. He didn't get his hand back (yet) but he got a new hand made out of mystical water. Later he died and came back to life with his original hand intact. (Seriously. Comic characters die and come back to life all the time in comics nowadays. There's very few comic characters that haven't "died" at least once.)

Which is why I don't get the uproar with regards the death of Wolverine. Aside from the fact that his death was easily avoidable, the actual event is a non-issue since you know they'll eventually retcon it.

Comic fans that get in an uproar are just idiots that haven't been reading long enough to realize that the status quo always returns to normal within a year or two.

I remember when people were complaining when Peter Parker died and Doctor Octopus became the new "Superior Spider-Man." Yeah, you know that isn't going to stick around long, and of course it didn't. It only took a year for Peter to come back.

Hey, I have an idea for a revamp! Let's get a guy who looks like Aquaman, has the same name as Aquaman (Arthur Curry), dresses like Aquaman, wants to be called Aquaman but really isn't Aquaman and have him be the main character in the book! That way we can get him to be younger and it won't confuse anyone ever! Let's do the same thing with Doctor Fate!

Ah, DC... no wonder you needed (yet another) reboot. Don't get me started on Hawkman.
