No outrage over Goyer's recent comments about She-Hulk?

http://www.slate.com/blogs/xx_factor...smacks_it.html

I have a theory about She-Hulk. Which was created by a man, right? And at the time in particular I think 95% of comic book readers were men and certainly almost all of the comic book writers were men. So the Hulk was this classic male power fantasy. It’s like, most of the people reading comic books were these people like me who were just these little kids getting the shit kicked out of them every day… And so then they created She-Hulk, right? Who was still smart… I think She-Hulk is the chick that you could fuck if you were Hulk, you know what I’m saying? … She-Hulk was the extension of the male power fantasy. So it’s like if I’m going to be this geek who becomes the Hulk then let’s create a giant green porn star that only the Hulk could fuck.
He also speaks about Martian Manhunter:

“How many people in the audience have heard of Martian Manhunter?” After hearing some light applause and cheers, he added, “How many people that raised their hands have ever been laid?” ……..

“Well, he hasn’t been rebooted but he’s a mainstay in the Justice League. He can’t be fucking called the Martian Manhunter because that’s goofy. He can be called Manhunter… The whole deal with Martian Manhunter is he’s an alien living amongst us… So he comes down to Earth and decides, unlike Superman who already exists in the world now, that he’s just going to be a homicide detective… So instead of using super-powers and mind-reading and like, oh, I could figure out if the President’s lying or whatever, he just decides to disguise himself as a human homicide detective. Dare to dream!”…… “I would set it up like The Day After Tomorrow. We discover one of those Earth-like planets… So maybe like… we get the DNA code from that planet and then grow him in a petri dish here… He’s like in Area 51 or something and we’re just basically… doing biopsies on him. Then he gets out and he’s really angry and he fucks She-Hulk.”

Sounds like he's trying hard to be "outrageous."

Stan Lee's response

Stan Lee, co-creator of Spider-Man, Hulk and Iron Man, responded last night to the inflammatory comments Blade and Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice writer David Goyer recently made about She-Hulk.

In a Washington Post interview, Lee said that he created She-Hulk because he was "looking for a new female superhero, and the idea of an intelligent Hulk-type grabbed me.” This statement came in response to Goyer's theory, who speculated She-Hulk was created as "a giant green porn star that only the Hulk could f**k," which enraged fans of the character.

In addition, Lee pointed out that She-Hulk was never intended as a love interest for the Hulk. "Never for an instant did I want her as a love interest for Hulk,” Lee said. “Only a nut would even think of that.” Lee finished by saying that She-Hulk is curvy because every super heroine is like that.
First, Hulk and She-Hulk are cousins just like Superman and Supergirl are cousins. She was never intended to be a love interest. Incest is gross.

Second, Stan Lee has probably gotten laid a lot more than Goyer has.

We haven't seen Goyer's take on Superman and Supergirl yet, though...
I'm eagerly awaiting his diatribe on Batman and Robin, Captain Marvel and Mary Marvel (and Captain Marvel Jr., and yes I know we already have MiracleMan), He-man and She-ra, Red Hulk and Red She Hulk, and a host of other topics.

He made Hulk and She-Hulk into incest cousins in Old Man Logan, and he also made Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch into incest twins in Ultimate Marvel.

I think Mark Millar has as much a fetish for incest as Frank Miller does for writing every woman as a prostitute.

If they are the only two Kryptonians remaining, then it's up to them and them alone to bring back the Kryptonian race...

I love Lena so I wouldn't mind. Of course the usual suspects would bitch about her age and weight.

I'm pretty sure he and Mick Jagger had a running competition for a while and last time Stan checked he was way ahead.

Stan Lee is also easily confused with Hugh Hefner.

Goyer wasn't talking about super successful Stan Lee getting laid, he was talking about Martian Manhunter fans.

To me, the Manhunter comments are much more obnoxious than the She-Hulk mental gymnastics.

I'm still outraged at Goyer over Blade: Trinity.

The other two Blade film scripts by Goyer were changed pretty heavily by the directors involved if you read them on the DVD-ROMs. I have to admit, I haven't found much of his writing satisfying.

Didn't Guillermo Del Toro once state that there wasn't really much of a script when he signed on to direct Blade II?

I could actually see Martian Manhunter being a breakout character, moreso than Cyborg.
