I will admit that it had a lot passion for the superhero nature and that's great cuz it's mostly willing to go there w/o shame but it's also depending on the narrative... which isn't written well. That spirit for the world is admirable, very much so.

Wells was awesome though. They really worked hard on that guy, played convincingly by a an actor who can do those characters that inhabit such a nature. I didn't care for the team nature of it. Cisco and Caitlin are annoying. Cisco especially. Again... very hard on stock characters. Which is a very very hard thing for me to take. Even if it's basic TV. It's better than AoS though. It's just these characters don't have a spirit beyond what, I guess, is demanded from Basic TV standards. I also find a lot of the emotions unearned and weak. Lacking proper depth for the spirit of the emotion to feel "real" in a situation calling for the emotional hurt.

I guess it all falls in the writing mostly. People love the guy playing Flash but based on how he's written, the actor seems to be alright. Not great not bad. It's CW.
That is not the CW, that has been Barry's personality for over five decades. He's supposed to be a nice guy, even nicer than Clark Kent/Superman. Barry Allen on television is just about the most perfect character adaptation of a comic book superhero in history.

With Geoff Johns involved, it isn't surprising that it's adhere to the comics, even if some consider it to a fault.

Re: Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice (2016) (D: Snyder; S: Gadot)

Some rumors about the cameos for a couple of characters.

http://uproxx.com/gammasquad/2015/06...an-v-superman/

Spoiler:

At one point in the film, Ben Affleck’s Batman sneaks into Lexcorp and hacks the company’s computer system. It’s during this scene that he sees glimpses of security video footage, and two particular clips stand out. The first, from Heroic Hollywood, concerns Aquaman’s imprisonment — possibly at the hands of Suicide Squad‘s Amanda Waller. And considering one of the rumored Batman scenes for David Ayer’s film, this just might happen.

But that’s not all. Batman will also see footage of “a blur” thwarting a robbery — a fleeting glimpse of what will turn out to be Miller’s Flash. It probably won’t actually be Miller himself, nor will it be the result of the actor shooting a quick scene for the film. Just a quickly-made effect to reference the character.

I wonder if this is build up to an eventual Batman vs. Superman movie - I can see this film setting everything up - the second in the trilogy with Joker and Lex in control of everything, with superheros outlawed - and the final film in the trilogy where Bats and Sups really duke it out.

Am I right or am I right? Am I right? I don't know if I'm right.

Unless this is set in an alternate universe (like Miller's Batman Returns), I can't see it playing out like that, if they want to tie in Justice League and all the rest.

Maybe I'm misunderstanding what you're saying, but I seriously doubt they're going to do a series of Batman vs. Superman movies. This is the lone Batman vs. Superman movie (it's right there in the title), in which they have some kind of confrontation before ultimately teaming up in the Justice League. At least, that's what seems likely based on the roadmap of movies that has been laid out.

It's just that I have no grasp of what this film is supposed to be anymore. I doubt WB could sum it up in one sentence.

A mysterious force arrives in Metropolis and Batman sets out to investigate. Doesn't seem too complicated. I don't think it looks like it's worth a damn yet either, though.

I think it makes more sense if you look at it less like a sequel to Man of Steel, and more like Man of Steel is the prequel to this. If that makes any sense at all.

Which I'll admit, it probably doesn't

That's my point. With all of these different characters being publicized and such - but the film being called Batman v Superman - it's hard for me to understand WHY this should be the sequel to Man of Steel, or why it should be exclusively Batman v Superman. If anything, it just feels like Cavill is reprising his role as Supes, in a film that is slowly including every character from DC.

Overall, it just feels like WB is charging towards a climax without the build-up.

'These are all of those things that made that Avengers movie good!'

I'm not saying anything new though.

I get what you're saying. It's all pretty convoluted. Maybe if we think of the title as just "Dawn of Justice" and consider it a movie about the beginnings of the Justice League that happens to focus primarily on Batman and Superman, we're getting somewhere close to what it is. I think it would make a lot more sense if there had been a standalone Batman movie in the continuity leading into this movie along with Man of Steel.

I just think it's kind of funny that Warner seems like they're trying to play catch-up and jump right into Avengers 2 territory, while ignoring that fact that Marvel / Disney made an absolute fortune on every single movie leading up to that one.

This was posted a few days ago but I just saw it. There's a rumor going around that Jeffrey Dean Morgan has a role playing Thomas Wayne and apparently he was on, I think, Kimmel and didn't deny it. The rumor got rolling due to this image:

Serious or joking?

It has already been said... repeatedly... that this is an older veteran Batman who has already been fighting crime for several years. This is NOT an origin movie.* There might be some very brief origin flashbacks of the Wayne murder similar to Tim Burton's Batman, but that will be all.

* Well, I guess technically it's an origin movie for the Justice League, but it's not an origin movie for Batman.

I remember pics from last year of a 1970s (or so) era cars and a movie theater with one of the Zorro movies on the marquee. It'll likely be a quick flashback or nightmare sequence.
