Guess I'm the only one willing to give Eisenberg a chance based on his track record.

His track record of shit? He's been the weak link in every movie he's ever been in.

I think he's going to be fun in the role. Gene Hackman hammed the shit out of the role. If Eisenberg was older and bald his dick would be sucked dry right now.

The Social Network
Zombieland
The Double (he's exceptionally great in this one)
Aventureland
Now You See Me

Most actors would kill to be in most of those movies.

I'm also willing to give Eisenberg the benefit of the doubt until I see the movie. I don't think he has a ton of range, but I've liked him in a lot of his roles, especially The Social Network and Zombieland.

For those wondering what the ratio of Superman to Batman will be in the upcoming Batman v Superman—that is, whether it’ll be Bruce Wayne guest-starring in a Superman movie, or something more equitable to reflect the title’s double-billing—Henry Cavill wants you to know that this isn’t going to be Man of Steel 2. “As far as the individual character is concerned, this is not a Superman sequel,” says Cavill. “It’s more of an introduction to Batman, an opening to Justice League, and an expansion of the world that was created in Man of Steel.”

well, yeah, I'm sure they'll get to that look. I know they gave us a shitload in that trailer but they can't just give us every fucking reveal. I'm positive the Doomsday bone spurs will be there.

I hope you're right. I realized as I typed that I might be overreacting. I just want Doomsday to look like Doomsday.

Unfortunately, it looks as though they chose not to address any of the criticism received from the first movie. More mindless destruction and very little substance. Best part of this entire movie may in fact be the casting of Jeremy Irons.

I would like to see a live version of the Luthor from the the animated Superman and JL series. How difficult is that? It's the best version of Luthor.

I think he meant that in the cinematic universe, this conflict hasn't been earned yet unlike the one in the TDKR comic. Unlike say, the other superhero conflict movie coming out a couple of months after this one.

To me the destruction was a result of Zod attempting to turn Earth into a new Krypton. The destruction, at least based on the trailers, is Lex Luthor orchestrating Batman and Superman to fight one another and when that fails, unleashing Zoomsday (Zod/Doomsday).

Anyway, as for the criticism on Superman it doesn't bother me as I've never been the biggest fan of the character so I'm open to different interpretations. Batman OTOH I am paying attention and so far I have liked what I've seen from the armored and regular suits and yes, even the casting of Affleck.

Maybe it's just me, but I think the bones/horns were there, and these shots are from after his initial battle with Superman. If you pause and look close, he still has two pretty big bones jutting out of his right elbow, and the ones on his back look broken off to me. Plus he looks pretty scarred up.

Who knows how long he's been in the movie at this point, and what he's gone through?

True, he is smoking. Maybe Supes just fucked him up and hit him with heat vision, or Batman shoots the shit out of him from the Batwing.

Didnt the bone and claws grow during the fight? No way to hide those shoulder and knee bones in the green suit.

I always assumed the fist spikes grew as a result of trying to punch out of the container, since his body always adapts to attack.

But what if this is just the first version of Doomsday? Sure he'd look incomplete, but it wasn't overnight that we got to the almost final version of Doomsday (according to the comic books).

Well, from what I'm seeing, Doomsday does not look to make it past this film alive.

They have to have him birthed then killed asap, so the continuity factor will take the hit in terms of overall character design.

Exactly, some of the comments here about Gadot's acting are a little extreme. She only has a handful of American films/shows on her resume and even on the Fast and Furious movies (3 that she's appeared on) she hasn't had any significant dialogue. It's not like Gisele was supposed to be a multi-layered character. All that she's been asked to do was look pretty on camera, put on a few bikinis and drive.

There are a lot of villains that would have fit the plot of this movie better than Doomsday. I'm betting a WB suit thought the name sounded cool.
