I think he looks sort of goofy in the cowl personally. I'm not a fan of the design of the cowl in general but something about it looks odd on him.

Wait, I thought most were in agreement that this Bat costume is the best we've seen onscreen thus far?
Always something with you guys.

I haven't liked the costume from the beginning. Looks pretty ugly and too inspired by The Dark Knight Returns for my taste. It may be the most comic accurate costume to date but either of the Keaton costumes or any of the Bale costumes (particularly the one from Batman Begins) were better in my opinion.

And what is with Affleck's mole? Too distracting, and not true to the character.

Wasn't Val Kilmer's mole a plot point in Forever? I remember they stuck one on young Bruce Wayne. So there's a precedent for Batmoles.

Yeah, but while that version was popular, I was never a fan of it, and I hate that they're taking inspiration from that source material.

Have you not noticed Bale's huge eye mole? I saw The Dark Knight Rises in IMAX and that thing was really noticeable 15 feet tall. It was so noticeable that whenever they showed a closeup of Bale's face I forgot just how shitty the film was for a few seconds.

Watched MOS again last night... I have to say it did temper my enthusiasm for this a bit. There's a lot of cool things in MOS but almost an equal amount of things I wished were different. The unending goofy fight scenes, the quick zoom ins... the lack of any subtlety... and the almost complete destruction of Metropolis. I remember a few buildings falling down, but this was most of the city it seemed like.
Hopefully with Batman, the action and fights will be a little more grounded (literally and stylistically)... I'd give MOS a B or B-, this movie needs to be better.

Even as a fan of MOS, that is the worst scene.

They should have been far more creative with that tornado scene. I love the concept of sacrificing yourself to protect your son but it's not like Jonathan was trapped in any way. The fucking dog got away from the tornado. They staged that so poorly.

And this film continues to make me skeptical. I know some will probably come back with Batman has killed before but in most instances where he has there were extenuating circumstances (Batman Returns is the only time I can really think of where he seemed to have no qualms with killing). This sounds a lot different from the way the producer describes him as judge, jury, and executioner..

There's the debris again...
Well, WW has no qualms with killing too, so basically we have the big 3 DC superheroes all ok with killing. Maybe the Civil War thing is a good idea. I had no idea they were doing an adaptation of Injustice.
