I find it incredibly disrespectful when they're showing the In Memorian segment and focusing on the musicians and (now, apparently) dancers. These people are being honored for the last time for something like two seconds each, and they have thirty people dancing in the front of the screen. And then the cameras keep pulling back and you can't read the names.

Do they not have anybody in charge to say Hey, guys, this isn't a good idea.

The Grammys does a beautiful In Memoriam.
Someone at the academy should look at that and do it that way.
Or simply play a song with the images and names of those who have died and that’s it

I know Nolan has some detractors, but I’m happy he won best director, which was his first honor. Oppenheimer was a hell of an accomplishment for his long career.
