I don't have SWE1 so I can't check out the subs. It'll probably be the same though as it still uses the Pantera 2 chip. There's supposed to be a new model in the fall...

There's an R1/4 Mexican release but it has no english subs. Also, it will be released in R2 PAL in about 2 weeks with english subtitles.

Like I said in the other forum, it is coded for regions 1 and 3 and not region-free. If you're still skeptical, the Hong Kong release is definitely region-free and is about half the price.

I haven't seen the R2 version but I checked out Spectrum release of Hana-Bi really quickly and it picture looks pretty good. It is only single-layer though. It also comes in a nice looking slipcase...
