What shows have you STOPPED watching?

Re: what shows are you thinking of quitting?
True Blood. I'm not into the whole vampire thing at all, but I enjoyed the first season because it didn't delve too deeply into the genre. Season 2 has some boring storylines (ie. Maryanne) and then it went deeper into vampire territory. Amazing I lasted as long as I did with it - but no Season 3 for me.
I'd bail on Weeds but I suffered the last 3 seasons so I want some damn closure or all the suffering would've been in vain. I pray this will be the last season.
I'm close to bailing on Treme. I'll finish out the season, but unless the writers can pull off a miracle in the last few episodes, I'll be sitting it out. It's not a bad show, but I don't find the stories compelling enough to span a series. Another huge problem is that I don't find the characters very interesting. After 7 episodes, I can't even remember most characters names. Plus Steve Zhan is annoying playing the same goofball he always plays.

House: Have the finale still sitting on my Tivo and have no desire to watch it
Gossip Girl: Gave up halfway through this past season but watched the finale and didn't hate it like I had been earlier in the season.

How I Met Your Mother because its just not that funny anymore.
I quit Chuck halfway through this season. The Chuck/Sarah crap just became unbearable. I'd rather see a show based on the buy more sans both of them.

I haven't quit any, but I've had a lot quit/end on me. I only have about 4 shows on my Season Pass right now.

I'm on the fence with The Middle, The Office, & Big Bang Theory - these seem to have played out all their comedic possibilities. I most likely would have dropped 24 if it hadn't been canceled.

The Middle?? After it's rookie season? And 24 wasn't cancelled. The Producers/Kiefer & FOX decided to end the series and transition it to feature films.

Two more episodes of The Tudors and I'm out. I can't take a seventh wife.

Dropped the Office sometime after the wedding episode, I really can't see how some people still see it as funny, but to each their own. Skipped American Idol entirely this past season. HIMYM's on the bubble. I just d/l'd the last 7 episodes after all the other shows were done with their finales.

Definitely Lost. They really painted themselves into a corner with the season six finale.

Weeds - I'm done torturing myself.
Entourage - I might watch the 1st episode and see if it pulls me in, but last season all the main characters were just annoying me. And I couldn't stand all the guest stars that can't act as themselves.
Treme - Please don't mention this and The Wire in the same sentence.
Flash Forward - I can't believe I lasted the entire season...horrible show.
I'm confused. You will continue watching The Office if you like Outsourced?
This is the final season. There is no seventh wife.

Re: what shows are you thinking of quitting?
I'm done with Hell's Kitchen (and, come to think of it, Kitchen Nightmares, too). Every season of Kitchen is exactly the same as the last, and the show seems even more of a put-on than other reality shows. And although I was a bigger fan of the UK Nightmares than the US one, both shows seem played out. Ramsey walks in, fixes a restaurant, and leaves. Big deal! Yes, I know the restaurants don't always stick to his recommendations, and yes, sometimes they close even if they turn things around. But it just seems like the show's time has passed... even UK Nightmares.
Deadliest Catch is seriously on the bubble with me. I've fallen asleep during the last three episodes, and I just feel like I'm not seeing anything new. The only reason I've hung around thus far is because of I want to see what happened to Captain Phil, which I read somewhere that they're not going to show until next season (although from the post it was unclear if they meant next "TV season" or next "crab season", i.e. opilio, so it might happen soon.)
I don't know why I even bother with The Tudors. I get that it's not an actual historical drama, and that it's more like Melrose Place: The Renaissance Years... but it still drives me nuts. By this point in his life, Henry VIII should look even older than the 52-ish he was at the time, should weigh almost 400 pounds, have a serious case of diabetes, and the ulcer on his leg should have an odor that can be smelled from 300 yards away... yet JRM is still far too skinny and young and healthy looking to be Henry VIII. Thankfully, there are only two more episodes left.
I'm not sure about It's Always Sunny... either. The show is off and on for me, and it seems like the farther away from the bar the show gets, the worse it is. But I'll probably watch anyway.
I'm also getting tired of Burn Notice, for several reasons. How Michael can just adopt a fake accent and suddenly wiggle his way into whatever gang he needs to is tiresome, the overall storyline is wearing thin, and how he's generally been able to blow up half of Miami and not attract the attention of the cops is a mystery.

Re: what shows are you thinking of quitting?
Agreed. My TiVo ended up losing more than half of the new episodes this season, and I didn't really care. Ted needs to MEET the f-ing mother already! His kids will be finished college before he finishes his damn story!
Gossip Girl is really on the bubble for me. That used to be a crowded timeslot for me but isn't now that Heroes quit me. I liked the twist at the end of the season and hope that cutting Jenny and Vanessa will help focus the storylines.
Smallville was only still on my Season Pass because it was on on Fridays. I'd have been dumping it next season if it wasn't going to be the show's final.
Desperate Housewives is almost too silly for me now. It may get the boot. And Brothers & Sisters is in the same boat. They're essentially eliminating another sibling with Kitty gone next season which leaves us with two brothers and a sister.

Re: what shows are you thinking of quitting?
Last year I dropped One Tree Hill (not the same show since the main leads were gone, plus the season 6 finale was such a great series closer IMO) and The Office (not funny anymore). I don't miss em at all. Not planning on dropping anything this fall.

Re: what shows are you thinking of quitting?
I concur. FOX did indeed cancel the show. They SAVAGED the ending, tweaking it so they could do movies after the fact. They reported it as a "joint decision" but that just presents an amicable relationship between the FOX network and the FOX production company. In reality, the network was not ordering another season so the show was essentially canceled.

Re: what shows are you thinking of quitting?
Well, the only reason I watched it this year was because it was between two shows I actually liked (Parks & Rec and 30 Rock). So, if I end up enjoying Outsourced, it'll be a similar situation. And to be honest, I didn't actually watch The Office this season so much as I just didn't change the channel. I'd usually do other stuff while it was on in the background.

Re: what shows are you thinking of quitting?
I dropped a lot of shows in the past year or so (and a few others were canceled). So I'm not watching too many series right now.
But I'm thinking of dropping Grey's Anatomy. Not really sure why I'm watching it anymore.

You might as well stick it out for Smallville, Season 10 is the final season unless you really have no interest in continuing. If you have read any of the season 9 threads, I would say 70-80% of them had favorable comments and enjoyed it.
One Tree Hill barely got renewed for another season. All indications are that season 8 will also be the final season.
