Re: what shows are you thinking of quitting?

Entourage.

I'm about to move, and probably won't get HBO where I'm headed, although I can't see even catching the upcoming season on DVD. I've been kind of burnt out on the show the past 2 seasons.

When the season ended, I removed my passes for both CSI spinoffs and Bones.

I still enjoy the original CSI.

American Idol

After the snooze fest that was last season, they will need to do something really amazing to make me come back for season 10, especially with Simon gone. Plus, I would love to free up the 2 days a week watching this for something better.

Re: what shows are you thinking of quitting?

^^ I would probably add Gossip Girl if not for Blake Lively's legs and short skirts, which keep me coming back.

Re: what shows are you thinking of quitting?

I quit Gossip Girl in March, and I haven't really missed it yet. I'll echo the Entourage sentiment as well. I'll probably start watching it again this year, but I felt last summer that the show had run it's course.

After season 2, I don't know if I'll make it through this whole year of True Blood either.

Re: what shows are you thinking of quitting?

If Season 2 of True Blood wastes half the show with a plot that's as boring as the Maed/Maryann storyline, then I'm dropping the show.

Re: what shows are you thinking of quitting?

I was considering CSI, as I let like 11 build up on the DVR, but after watching them, it made me realize how much I still enjoy the show. Love the characters.

American Idol is likely gone, depending on who the new judge will be.

Can't think of too many shows I'm planning to drop yet.

Re: what shows are you thinking of quitting?

I'm getting tired of Nurse Jackie. I really don't like her character and none of the others are interesting enough on their own. I'll finish the season and if it has a third will only give it two episodes to decide if I'm staying with it.

Re: what shows are you thinking of quitting?

White Collar. I thought it got way to formulaic and the music box / kate storyline is not compelling at all.

Justified. I'm just really not enjoying it. It's kind of boring and stereotypical. It's like a bad version of a modern Deadwood.

Desperate Housewives. Really bad plots, scripts and acting lately.

I'm just the opposite. I think that show has gotten better week-by-week. It's one of my favorites now.

Re: what shows are you thinking of quitting?

I quit all of these shows over the past year:

Aqua Teen Hunger Force
Bones
Burn Notice
Californication
CSI
Entourage
FlashForward
Heroes
Important Things
In Plain Sight
The Mentalist
Psych
Royal Pains
Scrubs
V
Weeds
White Collar

So, my schedule has been a lot lighter the past few months!

Re: what shows are you thinking of quitting?

House and probably Hell's Kitchen. I would have dropped them before, but my wife wanted to watch them, so I followed along as well. Since it not appears that she doesn't really care about them anymore, I'm out as well.

The Office. The only way I'll keep watching is if it either makes a miraculous comeback or if Outsourced is way better than it looks.

Re: what shows are you thinking of quitting?

Most of the shows I enjoyed either ended (LOST) or were canceled (Ugly Betty, Better off Ted, and others) so I've already got slim pickens next season.

Re: what shows are you thinking of quitting?

I quit DWTS a few episodes into this season. I finished the season of Gossip Girl and won't be back next season. I have decided not to watch the new seasons of Drop Dead Diva and Royal Pains.

Re: what shows are you thinking of quitting?

I was not impressed with Justified's pilot episode, but stuck with it, and after about the 3rd-4th episode I am hooked.

I'm only watching Royal Pains since it's a summer show. I'd drop it otherwise. I already dropped another USA show....In Plain Sight.

Fringe is worth finishing the season just for the Nimoy/John Noble scenes. You can skip the Walter storyteller & Peter in OR episodes though. If you were at all a fan, the one with Robocop is worth watching too.

Re: what shows are you thinking of quitting?

The Office
PTI (The podcasts work better for me)
Project Runway
Top Chef
Weeds

HIMYM, Chuck and Entourage have always been DVD or Netflix shows for me.

Really when fall swings around, I'll be down to 30 Rock, It's Always Sunny... and The Big Bang Theory.
