I've grown tired of the low-stakes storytelling we've seen on it and also gave up. The entire backstory is a mess with every character related to every other character in some way.

Hook was just about the last watchable character and they defanged him to be Emma's true love.

I was 10 episodes behind on Quantico so I nuked it from my TiVo.

You didn't watch him the previous 16 years?

I still have Blindspot piled up on the DVR, not sure about getting back to it. Scorpion is probably a nuke. I will probably forget about Supergirl since people over 40 are not allowed to watch CW.

After last night's Season Finale, I won't be watching "Archer". Frankly, much of the season has annoyed me, -I'm just tired of the constant bickering as a comedy tool, and that many of the characters just exist to argue with one another.

Nope. I never had any interest in late night talk shows growing up and only started watching Leno in '03 or '04 just as something to do. I did start watching The Daily Show shortly afterwards. The only late night show I watch now is Colbert, although that more has to do with me not being able to stand any of the other late night hosts, as well as my still-standing general disinterest in late night talk shows.

Re: What shows have you STOPPED watching?

JimRochester...I am also this close to letting go of Blindspot (I think I have about 10 eps of this show piled up on my Tivo). I also probably need to delete my season pass of Gotham (a full 23 eps behind), and Younger (I love the cast...Hillary Duff, Sutton Foster, but again, crazy behind as I have about 2 seasons (24 eps) piled up). I just have NO time to catch up. I adore the Flash, and the amount of eps piling up scared me (I binged 7 eps last week), so I made sure to get caught up.

I missed another one...Arrow (I will be more than 25 eps behind soon...probably better to delete and eventually netflix this show, with the exception of crossover eps with I will watch when they air). It is a good thing Crazy Ex-Girlfriend was free on iTunes a few weeks back...making that an easy delete.

Edited to add: I deleted my season pass for Arrow, Crazy Ex-Girlfriend, Younger, Gotham, Blindspot, The Girlfriend Experience, Awkward, The Catch, Better Call Saul, and The Last Man On Earth.

Re: What shows have you STOPPED watching?

I recently gave up on Mr. Robot, I had not watched any of the current crop of episodes, and the Mr. Robot thread convinced me it was no big loss to walk away from the show.

I also wanted to get back into Unreal after giving up around mid-way through season 1, but I went ahead and deleted the unwatched S2 eps and deleted the season pass.

Re: What shows have you STOPPED watching?

I tried to get in to Dead of Summer but gave up after 3 episodes. Usually I can count on Entertainment Weekly's reviews, not in this case. To say "it's like John Hughes meets The Shining" is an embarrassment.

Gave up on American Horror Story last year. Gaga? F that! The show was good early on but the last few seasons had dragged a bit.

I gave up on Zoo after a radical change to the show in the middle of the latest season.

I'm stalled on Ray Donovan ... Might give it another go, but not motivated for this season

"Shameless". Third year in, I couldn't take any more of that family. And Frank is quite possibly the most vile character in the history of television. Could never understand why anyone would let him in their home. Or bar!

I made it through 4 or 5 episodes of the first season before I bailed. I got tired of the lead mumbling his way through every episode, which were all entirely forgettable.

I almost did the same with Hannibal Season 3. The first few episodes are filled with more abstract slow mo shots of blood drops, sprays, and splatters than actual story. They felt more like art pieces than anything else. But then the season turns into Hannibal's Greatest Hits, and it's been fantastic ever since.

Re: What shows have you STOPPED watching?

Wayward Pines (two episodes in to the new season)
Lady Dynamite (watched the first three episodes)

neither were terrible I just have a ton of stuff I'm interested in watching so I don't have time for stuff that I'm not really feeling.

Queen of the South just now, halfway through e06(?).... Rehashed, repackaged, unimaginative, derivative.

Really wanted to get into Animal Kingdom. Didn't even watch first minute and I deleted it from DVR. Just didn't think I wanted it taking up space. I just don't have the time anymore so I have to be picky. Didn't get a lot of buzz from what I can tell...

Terrific show overall. However, I will say that the characters aren't particularly sympathetic. On the other hand, "Feed The Beast", which started the same night on AMC, was kind of awful.

American Horror Story. 8 episodes in.

ER when it became an over the top soap opera.
MI-5 after the first series.
Rescue Me after Season 2.
The Simpsons around season 13.
True Blood Season 2.
24 after season 3.

Definitely give Animal Kingdom a shot. You'll know if you like it by the second episode. It's been one of 2016's most riveting television shows.

Re: What shows have you STOPPED watching?

Oh yeah, I stopped watching Quantico and Blindspot mid season.

I restarted watching Modern Family, because my family was still watching it. I think I skipped 2 seasons or so.

Flash was awesome it's first year. Year 2 was a snoozefest and the whole Flashpoint thing seems lame and uninteresting.

I just have grown bored by the entire Superhero genre.

Already dumped:

Arrow
Agent Carter

Next year I am dumping:

Agents of Shield
Supergirl
Gotham

I plan on watching significantly less TV next year in general. Only a few shows I am looking forward to and most are 2017:

Outlander
Bates Motel
Humans
Americans
Westworld
Game of Thones
Twin Peaks (think it likely to be terrible though)
Better Call Saul
Fargo
Magicians
