Just my opinion.

I think Ty is in the final 3 for the rest of the show's run till he is out. We are past the point of how well they sing the particular song of the week. It's all about popularity from here on out.

I will continue to believe that it will be a JD / Mig final, with Mig getting the nod. The fact that he's Australian plays more and more a role (the band basically said as much last night).

This forum just proves how individual everyone's tastes are. I adore Jordis. Yes, Layla was a poor performance. But I thought she did really well last night. I love her voice and her interpretation. The only version I know of KOHD is Clapton, so I can't compare to Dylan. Some have said she didn't do it justice. I thought she did. I do think it is really hard to sing songs that have been done so uniquely by other artists. I mean, come on! Doing covers of Clapton/Dylan? These men are icons. I think she manged quite well this week.
As for the other women, Deanna has never done it for me. I think she tries too hard and she can't seem to figure out how she wants to approach songs. Again, just a personal preference. Suzie did very well, but if we're comparing to Sam Cooke - well it was okay.
JD is an overrated @ss. I thought HE was horrible last night.
Marty is a very intense guy and it shows. I think he is talented, but I think all of the people remaining are talented. It is becoming more obvious who is not "right" for "our band, INXS."
MiG was great. And I agree he is probably the front runner.
Ty can sing a broadway show tune, but not rock.
Jessica - okay, so not everyone is talented.
Just my thoughts (what's left of them after a summer vacation with four kids out of school for 10 weeks. Too much "together time."
).

I agree. This is less about talent and more about popularity after this week. Jessica is the last of the people that are obviously not going to make it. Maybe Deanna but after that, its going to be all about fan base rather than their performance each week. Thats why I ranked them the way I did. It's going to go down to who the band, INXS does not like. They love Jordis, MiG, Marty and they always seem to compliment JD. They have had a lot of criticism for Ty when he has an off week.

To give J.D. some credit, I think "As Tears Go By" is an awfully hard song to sing. But he can't seem to grasp the power of "stillness", and had to wear the hat to throw off and do that quivering hand thing again. Probably his worst performance -- he may be in the Bottom 3, but I'm sure he's safe from being cut. Love him or hate him, the guy gives the show some drama and tension. (I love how they always show Jordis after he sings.) And it would have been very interesting if INXS gave "Hit Me Baby One More Time" to J.D.!
I actually enjoyed all the performances last night to varying degrees. Perhaps it's Jessica's turn to leave tonight, but I thought she did a really nice job with "Torn". It's obvious she doesn't have the core fan group who will vote for you no matter what (same with Deanna).

JD's probably going to hurt somebody one day. I wouldn't sign him on unless the guys want some free publicity from America's Most Wanted...
I don't know why Jessica is still there, she'd be a horrible fit and a leaden presence in a band coasting on vapors. She'd take them right out.
Oddly enough if Tara had more of a voice--I thought she would have been perfect.
Getting sick of Ty, he reminds me of the lead singer from Living Color and Gary Cherone--corny....
Not crazy about MiG. To me if voice is weak and he does this little Marc Anthony deal. His register is too light to carry any of this off.
Jordis is ok. I don't think she even likes INXS. Got to say aside from those great looks and the rocker persona--she does remind me of Kelly Clarkson. Won't be too much of a hardship to see more of her--but nah...

I guess some of these performers must be doing this show for exposure. I'm not sure if Jordis likes INXS music either and I wish they were all singing INXS songs NOW. Who knows what the top 3 to 4 will sound like. Can't we just fast forward a few weeks?

Did Marty even sing backup last night? I couldn't pick out his voice at all. Maybe he was afraid that he would get beaten up when he goes back to Chicago for singing a Peter Frampton song.

Besides, if it's about loving your wife, he's probably angry about it.

You just have to love MiG for his genuine "nice" factor. I think JD has a tough road ahead of him with his housemates. Definitely no love lost.
The "Jordites" won't come down on you Bill Needle. You make a very valid point. But when people say she lacks any talent or singing ability, then I take exception. You may not like her style, but she CAN sing. That's all I'm saying.
