Kudos for her laughing him off and not giving in.
I also cracked up when he was like "Oh, and by the way, I would love to get to know you better once the competition is over" to her. What a cheesedick.

I do think Brandon is in BIG trouble. Tempted just doesn't suit his voice at all. I could see Jordis singing it, though.
Ty is starting to piss me off a little bit, too. I have never been blown away by any of his performances, but he seems to think he is clearly the best one there. When members of INXS, the band that you are supposedly battling to be the lead singer of, offer you constructive criticism, TAKE IT! Don't give them some attitude about it. I hated it when he said, "I hear you. Loud and clear." (or something close to that) If I were one of those INXS members, I would say, "Fuck you. I don't want you as our singer."

Jordis, Suzi, Mig and Marty were all pretty good but the rest of them should all have to sing to survive tomorrow. But I think Tara or Jessica will be leaving.

My predictions for bottom three
J.D. - Given his nasty attitude lately he would've had to pull off a great performance here to endear himself to the audience. This wasn't it. He gets minor credit for going with the classic arrangement instead of that monstrosity he attempted on Monday. Put he just couldn't pull it off.
Heather - All I could think of was "stoned girl singing karaoke". Something was up here, because this was easily her worst performance and the song wasn't even really out of her established range.
Daphna - What the hell was that? Even the band sounded like shit there.
The rest
Ty - Safe.
Mig - Safe
Jordis - Safe
Marty - Safe
Suzie - Probably safe, although the way she played the harmonica with her eyes open kinda freaked me out
Tara - Probably safe, I loved the gratuitous bra showing![Smilie](/images/smilies/smile.gif)
Jessica - Not great tonight, but probably safe due to the number of weak performances
Deanna - Personally I think she's terrible every week. But I think she'll go through this week due to not doing anything *overtly* bad or obnoxious.
Brandon - In another week he would surely have been one of the three worst, but he may luck. The thing I noticed was that the crowd seemed completely dead for the chorus... not a good sign. If one of the others has a big fanbase keeping them alive Brandon could be in the bottom three.

Bottom 3:
JD - as bad as I expected, but thankfully he didn't go hip-hop on the song.
Daphna - "murdered the song" was being nice, she turned into a wedding singer tonight.
Heather - vocally, she was just either mumbling or straining all over the place.
No all that good:
Brandon - he still has no idea about the melody of that song.
Tara - felt too karaoke to me, definitely missed on the underlying tone for the song.
Okay:
Jessica - she doesn't have a lilt to her voice to carry, which contributed to the pitchiness of her performance, but still a nice change of pace.
Deanna - sang just a little too low of a key for her song, which keeps the audience from participating with her.
Good:
MiG - I had no idea where he was headed by his opening, but he was able to rally the troops and do justice to his song.
Susie - she's got a good mix of slight huskiness and bluesy to her voice which showed up tonight, and served her well.
Very good:
Jordis - a natural on stage, with enthusiasm and the vocals to back it up.
Marty - that was a good channelling of Kurt Cobain on "Lithium". His performance integrates him and the houseband really well, it just seems pretty natural, the timing and fluidness of the entire performance.
Ty - trusting his voice to do the heavy lifting, he pulled it off tonight.
JD - as bad as I expected, but thankfully he didn't go hip-hop on the song.

No time to comment on all but:
Jordis: Far and away the best. I've been a fan since day one. She's fantastic.
Marty: Much better than in the past but saying he channeled Cobain is crazy. He sang that song at about 25% intensity, which was actually a smart move so as not to embarras himself. It was karaoke. But GOOD karaoke.
JD: HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHHA@A@!@!!!11!!!1!!

he did say he'd do whatever it takes to win. Crying about having his sister there definitely should get him some votes. Hopefully not enough to keep him out of the bottom three.
I agree that JD, Daphna and Heather are the obvious choices. I'm afraid Brandon might slip in there instead of JD.
I was most impressed with Marty, mainly just because I didn't expect him to be able to pull off the screaming as well as he did. That's nothing like a Franz Ferdinand song, and he didn't do his pointy robot dance move.

The best were MiG, Marty, Ty. Jessica gave probably her best performance thus far.
My predictions for the Bottom 3 are:
Heather
Daphna
Brandon
Have not had a single performance from Heather I liked, and she was especially bad this week. Daphna's performance made JD breath a sign of relief, I'm sure. Brandon just had trouble with that song. (Based on JD's VERY strong following on the Rockstar board and his "touching" (and unfair) moment with his sister, I think he'll be safe from the Bottom 3 this week.)

Every week, I am starting to like Mig more and more.
I think that I've dropped Deanna off my list of potential winners. She has had a couple of hard weeks, and I don't know if she can rebound.
Inxs and Dave seemed to be more critical than any other performace. Granted, this was probably the weakest show so far, so it was well deserved.

After a few weeks it seems like a foregone conclusion which singers will last and which ones are goners. There isn't much competition outside of maybe four of them.
(edited because I can't spell right after waking up)

Amen. Same here.
She just has something that the others don't have. She isn't trying to fake anything, thats her 100% up on stage. Seems very genuine.

More comments: Mig and Suzy were actually better than they've been.
I actually didn't hate Daphna's performance. I thought it was ok.
Ty I thought was too fake and added too much gospel. As usual, I think he's good, I just don't enjoy hearing/watching him. Also, he needs to do some sit-ups if he';s going to dress like that.
Brandon did hit a lot of bad notes but I Dave said what I was thinking: The timbre of his voice was perfect but the vocal control wasn't there.
Jessica, Deanna, Heather: whatever.

As said, there are only a few that can win this. Mig, Marty, Brandon, or Jordis. If that's not the final 4 then something went wrong.
Those 4 seem natural on stage. Ty just comes off as fake to me. He's good but doesn't have the vibe needed for this band, INXS.

Still don't get the Marty love, but he didn't shame himself last night. It's interesting how many are actually getting WORSE every week. Just bucking that trend is an accomplishment in itself.

1. Jordis (best on the show by far)
2. Mig (keeps getting better)
3. Marty (looks the part and can sing)
4. Suzi (can sing and looks great, don't think that INXS hasn't noticed)
5. TY (the crowd loves him)
6. Brandon (lack of vocal control will hurt him)

I agree that there are a few that stand head and shoulders above the rest, and it's just a matter of what order the rest are knocked out.
I think Jordis, Mig, Marty and Ty (and maybe Suzie) are going to be the ones competing at the end.
I thought JD was great until the end of his song last week. He has gone into an absolute tailspin since then and I wouldn't be surprised if he is gone tonight. He is quite the manipulator.
The worst performance last night (and there were quite a few) had to be that red head with the buttterfly tats and the messed up teeth who killed the Sheryl Crow song. That was just awful.
Daphna look great with her hair pulled back-but that dress she wore.

Just watching the episode again now. Damn Brooke looks hot. She does nothing for me, but she was looking fine last night.
Jordis: Not her best performance, but a mediocre performance from her is better than most of the others at the top of their games.
Suzi: Good job. She is really getting better and better ever week.
Jessica: Not a big fan of her voice, especially on this song. Give it back to Bruce (and that goes for you too, Natalie Merchant).
Mig: I just like him more and more every week, both his singing and his personality.
Ty: Great job with Everybody Hurts, but I just don't think he has what it takes to join the band Inxs.
Heather: Horrible job. She is definitely tonight, unless the hate for JD is too overpowering to overcome.
JD: Ack! Horrible. I really want him gone now, both because he murdered this song, and he seems like a real asshat. Loved the closeup of Mig while JD was murdering the song. Loved the smirk on Jordis' face as well. It's not hard to see by the reactions of the other singers that JD is not well liked. And what's up with the sister thing? Who cares!
Deanna: She seems to be one of the people who has gotten worse every week. She started off great, now she is nothing special. Everytime I see her, she reminds me of Maria Bello, but she is more plain. She needs some makeup or eyeliner or something.
Daphna: I really don't like this chick, but I don't think that she "murdered" it. It was a poor version, but not as bad as Heather and/or JD.
Tara: I liked her performance, and I thought that she looked really good. Probably one of my favorite performances by her.
Marty: Not a big Nirvana fan, and didn't really like his rendition, but he is definitely top five material.
Right now, here is what I think:
12. Heather
11. JD
10. Daphna
9. Jessica
8. Tara
7. Ty
6. Deanna
5. Brandon
4. Marty
3. Suzie
2. Mig

I wonder if the band will take personality into account when they choose. I would because I would hate to have at total asshat in my band, INXS.

I would have to think it would. It can't be just on talent, but it's got to be some combination of talent and how they would fit in with the band INXS.

i think they will, which is why I think the best vocalist might not win. I've said it earlier in the thread but my prediction at this point in time is Mig will be chosen. Not the best vocalist but he's good and seems to have a personality that will mesh with the band (atleast given what we've seen).
Anyhow, I liked Mig and Suzie, was iffy about Jordis (I just don't see what everyone else sees in her I guess) and the rest varied from ok to laughable.
Daphna was pretty awful singing Rock the Casbah (Joe Strummer must've been rolling over in his grave) and I'm starting to get sick of Ty trying to belt out notes into songs that don't warrant them. I agree with the others in the thread, he also seems pretty fake to me.
So, that brings up the next question. Any guesses or hopes for what the three INXS songs will be tonight?
Among the many songs I've love to hear Beautiful Girl, Listen Like Thieves, and Disappear. Others I'd like to hear at some point are definitely the One Thing and Elegantly Wasted.

I am wondering about the songs tonight as well. Are there going to be three different hits every week from the band INXS? If they try different hits every week, they are going to run out pretty soon. They had some great songs that weren't hits, so I would love to hear some of those.
I can't see Heather not getting eliminated tonight.
