Dan's bold, almost reckless move to nominate his closest ally really paid off in the nominations. Jerry, Ollie, and Michelle had no idea they were closely alligned. Even Keesha and Renny only speculate about it; they don't know for sure.

Jerry almost certainly would have put up Dan and Memphis if Memphis hadn't been nominated last week. Dan played it in a way where Jerry thought Keesha was his closest ally.

Now if the nominations stay the same Dan probably leaves b/c Jerry desperately wants to deliver him to the Jury house to try to curry favor.

As for who Memphis is really alligned with...Dan knows about the deal with Jerry. Jerry...not so much.

Veto and vote spoiler:

Spoiler:
Memphis wins the veto, and vetos Dan's nomination. They plan to vote out Renny.

I think this has made for a better season of Big Brother, but a more boring After Dark. It has just been a snoozefest, and this has been the first time that I have really just started deleting AD episodes because of them sitting in my recording list for too long.

Why do all these players think they're more clever than they are? Only the increasingly annoying Dan is ... and to grudgingly give credit where it's due, he's the best BB player in several years.

I'm not sure if Dan is actually a clever player as much as he's very good at spinning things in such a way that they appear to fit into his master plan. "I meant to do that!"

I love how people start to dislike Dan once he becomes the aggressor and is no longer an underdog. I will give credit though. He is by far the most logical and level headed contestant ever to play this game other than Dr. Will. He may not mean to do everything that happens but I don't really think he is claiming that. I think a lot of that is editing. Either way, he keeps calm and always does what he thinks is best. The deal with Ollie didn't really work out the way he wanted but it did keep him safe. I just thoroughly enjoyed how he calmly told Ollie and Michelle that this is a game.

Nope. But on multiple occasions, Dick or Danielle appeared to be on their way out, only to have diary room meetings before the vote change people's minds. The producers wanted to ride the estranged father/daughter ticket to the final.

They also stepped in to prevent Eric from being voted out (I remember once, but maybe it was twice) to try to keep the America's Player vote going.

I'm sure that sort of thing goes on every season, but that season was the most apparent and over the top.

In fairness, I have never warmed up to Dan. There was always this creepy factor about him that I have just never been able to get past. In other words, some people have disliked Dan from the start.

Which was easy for him to say since he held all the power at that time!

Too bad they didn't show that before the POV both Renny and Keesha were drunk.

Why in the world would they get drunk before a major competition? Even if they thought they had Memphis in the bag, if Dan won the POV, they'd still be screwed.

They don't know when the POV will be held. I was watching on Friday(?) night and they had given them wine to drink and as is Keesha's way she attacked it with some gusto. BB comes on the loud speaker and says that the POV competition will be held in 2 hours. Funny thing is that I don't think they had the competition that night.

Knowing what the competition was though I'm fairly sure they wanted them drunk to put some excitement into that far over used contest.

That makes much more sense now....Renny not knowing that was Jerry made her out to look like just an idiot! Now a drunk idiot is much better~

Yeah. They need to do away with that competition, or make it more difficult. When you get to 8 second differences, it's more about luck than skill.

One way to make it more interesting would be to use pictures of people other than just the ones on the memory wall, or to use more than 2 faces, or to include some non-house guests (and have a "none of the houseguests" option).

It would be a lot harder if they excluded the hairstyles.

Maybe, but there was only one 8-second difference, wasn't there? On that note, I kept thinking that Memphis must have been kicking himself. If he had just taken 10 more seconds, Dan would have won and they would have had the same conclusion--but Memphis would have stayed golden with Jerry and Keesha. This way, it really gives a bit more strength to Dan's speech at the end, if he reveals how much he has manipulated the house.

The only way Memphis assures himself not to be nominated is to win POV. He would have been in jeopardy any other way. Much better to assure your safety, than be golden with anyone at this point.

Yes we will. The voiceover guy said it in the last minute of the show.

Hope there's more excitment going on in there, for last nights episode was pretty boring, especially when Dan was mimicking Renny. I thought that bit was never going to end. I think i would have rather seen Keesha and her hot little bod getting drunk.

I think that Jerry's backwards tumble into the pool was a classic moment! It was one of my highlights of the season!!!

True but I have no doubt Dan would take it better than anyone else if he was betrayed/backdoored/etc.

He had safety. He has to know Jerry is not a liar at this point. So the only way he would be screwed is if Renny won. The odds of that happening are outrageously high. I think you need to take some risks sometimes to look better in the end. I don't think he should have tried to win the POV. If he didn't this time, Renny would be going home and then he wouldn't have to try to win HOH next week either. He set himself up perfect but then screwed it all up.
