I actually lolled when I saw your sig, so that's what I think of your opinion, but I'm not a huge Tim Allen fan, but he was funny in his sitcom. But, he's a snitch and I can't really respect that.

Not sure how I'd feel about Tim Allen. I was never a huge fan of Home Improvement, but I didn't hate it or anything. I've just never been a big fan of the guy, but I could sort of seeing him fitting in the role of the office boss.

I don't think Tim Allen is anything special, but there sure is a lot of hate for the guy here. Geez...

Tim Allen is a funny guy, and it could work -- if they make his character significantly different than both Michael Scott and Tim Taylor.

I think the snitch comment is in regards to him giving up a coke dealer so that he could get less time back in the 70's.

Tim Allen? Galaxy Quest was awesome and he does good work in the Toy Story movies, but everything else has been average to awful.

It was a joke, since she didn't fit in at all.

These are my sentiments too. I like him. I'd be down seeing him in the show.

Thankfully. A little of her goes a long way.

Actually, I think this could be a good "come-back" tool for Tim Allen. If he toned it down a bit, he could find a good balance between Michael Scott and David Brent. If nothing else, he's not only an interesting choice, but he's the kind of choice that would draw people to the Office who haven't seen it before.

Wow, I'm surprised they're doing this before May sweeps. Hopefully they can get some good cameos in there from potential new bosses that'll make sweeps worth it.

So they've pretty much said the new boss will be an in-house hire right?

Read more like she would be doing the interviews for the replacement and not as one of the candidates.

Re: Steve Carell says next season of The Office will "probably be my last"

i don't see how they can carry the show without getting a semi-known replacement. i mean, carrell is a big movie star so they need to get someone with some recognizability.

Re: Steve Carell says next season of The Office will "probably be my last"

Kathy Bates is on David E. Kelly's new show "Harry's Law"

I read she will re-appear on The Office since they already completed shooting Harry's Law, but if that show gets a 2nd season, there is no way she can make any appearances on The Office next Fall.

He's leaving before the season finale, but I would be VERY surprised if he didn't make an appearance in the finale.

Re: Steve Carell says next season of The Office will "probably be my last"

This will either make the show better or kill it all together. This will either be like Jon Lovitz on News Radio or Kristie Alley on Cheers. I don't think there will be any middle ground.

Lets just hope they don't go with Packer...
