I was pretty satisfied about with the ending. Great show.
For those saying Walt got too much of what he wanted....yeah, he got to say bye to Holly. But he didn't even get a hug or anything from Skyler. He didn't get to talk to Junior. It wasn't exactly all good. Sure, better than it had been, and he did set a lot to rest...but it's not like he was forgiven by anyone really, except perhaps by Jessie a tiny bit.

Interesting take, that Walt actually died in the snow covered car.

Interesting to think about, I guess, but there's no f'ing way that's what the writers intended given Jesse's box-building daydream.

It served to purposes imo, 1) gave the viewers confirmation of her actually dying, and 2) provided satisfaction (i.e. twisting of the knife) when Walt tells her that he was responsible for poisoning her.

Huell's diabetes set in and he died in that motel room.
I'm still thinking about the finale. I expected things to be very dreadful. It was really a happy ending. Walt won. Jesse broke away. Sjkylurh got off by providing the coordinates.
Breaking Bad was very unpredictable. Walt could have just as well thought out his plan, and been murdered on his way to Uncle Jack's.

None that hadn't already existed prior to the finale right? The implication was Skyler would get off the hook with the info Walt provided, and they would be set with the money. I'm only speaking on the finale here, so considering everything that happened prior it was a pretty happy ending.
The entire episode was built around redeeming Walt's character. One that had been shattered and the audience led to believe past the point of saving for the entire run of the series, undone in an episode? I don't know about you but I didn't have interest in feeling empathy for him at this point, if nothing than for remaining true to the series. Anti-hero my ass![Wink](/images/smilies/wink.gif)
Jesse dying would have been the ultimate tragedy to the audience, and an appropriate consequence of Walt's actions.

Same goes for him saving Jesse. He still messed up Jesse's life more than it already was and despite how twisted things were between the two I think Walt almost viewed him as another member of his family even if he didn't say it outright.
I don't think anyone got a truly happy ending either so not sure where you're getting that from. Skyler lost a husband ultimately caused by his actions but the real Walt was gone long before that. Walt Jr. lost a father and has to deal with the shambles that his actions put his family in not to mention just the personal matters of how it is going to effect the rest of his life and living with the fact that his dad was a drug kingpin. Holly of course was too young but will never know anything of her father other than that he was a drug kingpin. Hank lost his life due to Walt's actions and plus before that let's not forget all the other shit he went through due to Walt's actions. Marie lost her husband and the relationship between her and Skyler while they seemingly are getting along better is never going to be the same I'd imagine. Jesse lost Andrea and not to mention before that Jane, he was put in constant danger by being involved with Walt, killed a man (Gale, he killed Todd by his own will), and was held prisoner for a number of months and forced to cook meth against his will. His life basically is never going to be the same. Even if he escaped he's likely going to end up going to jail for his involvement in everything or will have to start a new life someplace else.

I just finished the last episode tonight and it was pretty cool. I still hate Jessie and think he's a little ****. He got off way too easy. I really dug Todd's hitman/drug runner character. He was hardcore and sounds just like Matt Damon. I kept calling him "Matt Damon's Cousin" throughout the show, because he looked it. When he capped the kid, he sealed his coolness.
Cool ending to a very cool show.

i still think the subtleties in Walt's movements and the camera and cinematography in this episode were the greatest in TV history.

Yeah. Some dude got pissed about people not spelling it right (with an a instead of an e) and from there, every single spelling under the sun was developed. Mine was Skynatown.

I always thought making jokes of the spelling of her name was kind of dumb and got old pretty fast.

So what does BB get in next year's Emmy Awards? Will it still be remembered or will the acclaim have died down by then with the finale having aired almost a year earlier?
Hopefully it still wins Best Drama and it has to at least be nominated.
Also I think Cranston has to win one last time for Best Actor. They'll know that John Hamm will still have one more chance at winning after that.
Probably another nomination for Anna Gunn but not sure of her winning.
Aaron Paul will probably be nominated again though I'd actually prefer a Dean Norris (or even RJ Mitte!) nomination and win.
