Agreed. I stopped watching a couple episodes after Lloyd was killed. Not intentionally... I just haven't been able to bring myself to spend 45 minutes of my life watching a West Wing presidential wish fulfillment show sans the over-the-top 24 elements.

I could watch a whole show of Hannah and Mike kicking ass as a team

Re: Designated Survivor (ABC) -- Season 2 Thread -- Premieres 9/27/17

To my surprise I'm still enjoying this without the "designated survivor" storyline. KS is still awesome, and the supporting cast are fun to watch. I like Seth, Emily and Hannah, so really at this point it's like a West Wing show with some CIA stuff.

Well, last night was the mid season finale.

They answered the big question about Mrs. Kirkman.

RIP

The showrunner talks about the decision to kill her off in this interview.

Re: Designated Survivor (ABC) -- Season 2 Thread -- Premieres 9/27/17

Bummed they killed her off. I knew the actress was leaving, but I thought maybe they'd have her character go to jail for obstruction of justice. At least she could have returned some day or had a small recurring role. But since they went with killing her off, I would have preferred her death to be part of a plot to shut her up rather than a random accident. Oh well.

Yeah if she went to jail though it would be ridiculous to keep her husband president.

I love the actress but this season she was wasted on the show. Her and the kids were useless.

Will be interesting to see how the shows goes forward after this. Guess it gives Kirkman something to focus on now that the S1 story line is essentially over. Same goes for invincible the MI6 agent. Now if they would just find a way to feature the kids even less.

Just caught up, i have no problem with the first lady getting hurt ! She was annoying me ! smug bitch !

Fact is her mother broke the law all those years ago and should pay a price

the side stories are getting weaker and weaker

A real waste with the death of the first lady. Should have been an assasination or something like that, trigger a whole new cool storyline

Also, don't they block the side streets using police cars (or at lease motorcycles) when a top government motorcade moves through Washington? How could that truck have even got there?

This show has lost its way, so we get an episode about the President losing his way.

Re: Designated Survivor (ABC) -- Season 2 Thread -- Premieres 9/27/17

Question for any or all - Anyone know why some shows make up country names (this one - last week's East and West Korea analogs) while some (Madam Secretary) appear to stick to existing countries?

Re: Designated Survivor (ABC) -- Season 2 Thread -- Premieres 9/27/17

the last few episodes have been good. Yeah the made up country names are a bit off putting

Always good to see Kim Raver and she and Kiefer always have great chemistry, just not sure seeing them together not as Jack and Audrey

Yeah I wonder if their plan is to get them together if this show doesn't get cancelled.

Safe to assume Wells isn't actually gone after this last episode?

She's the Jack Bauer of the show, so she's always right and will be back...

I'm sure once Kirkman is convinced his new gal pal betrayed him he'll give Wells her job back.

Interesting little twist. I actually liked the idea of Kim Raver as the villian

The other political stuff with the graffiti boy was naff
