This was one of the most heavily DVR'd shows last season. Plus, it's a Netflix original series overseas, that's why it managed to come back for a 2nd season despite the overnight ratings declining throughout the season.
Season 1 wasn't perfect, but I enjoyed most of it.

I'm guessing they're either going to kill off Tom's wife or make her some kind of villain.

She's gonna get killed off, no doubt. I mean, I guess they could go the villain route, since we found out her parents were Russian, but I really think it's easier for everyone just to kill her. They should kill the kids, too. Then it's just the president, and no more stupid family plots.

I've been expecting a villain turn by the wife since the first episode. Seems like the writers have went out of their way to leave that door open.

Looks like they're setting up Patrick Lloyd to be the big season villain in addition to the crisis plots of the week.
Who wants to be he may have something to do with Tom's wife's fate when that comes up?
I enjoyed Agent Wells adventures in Europe. But, the crisis of the week plot was fairly average. The death of Tom's friend didn't really do anything for me. We never met the guy before.

I liked the premiere. Looking forward to more action as the season goes on, even though I know this is more of a political show.

So it looks like we've glanced past the premise of the show (under qualified politician becoming pres) and jumped directly to Jack Bauer in a suit. I can dig it. Really like the addition of Paulo; been a fan of his for years.

Another decent episode, obviously no one is watching
I just don't know how they are going to keep up the balance between the political stuff and the Hannah wells FBI stuff. They need both to make this show interesting

I just got caught up with the last 2 episodes last night.
I'm surprised they killed off Patrick Lloyd so fast. I was expecting him to be an adversary to Kirkman for at least a few more episodes.
The 3rd episode dealt with more of a crisis of the week type storyline with the virus. But honestly the virus angle has been done to death in this kind of shows. Containment on The CW just did it a few seasons ago.
I am glad they've minimized Tom's kids in the show. Early in season 1, the son was seen quite a but, now he's hardly even on the show anymore. We barely just saw his daughter last week.
My favorite element so far as been Hannah and the British agent's exploits.

Quite enjoyed this week's episode. They are struggling to fabricate reasons to keep Maggie Q's character in the mix

Did not like the Oct 18th episode.
I liked the first couple of episodes of this season, but I agree, the suspense is going away.
I hate politics in general, so watching fictional politics without the terrorist angle is boring to me.
Part of me is still watching to support Kiefer, but that won’t last for long if season two continues trending downward.

Yeah the last show was weak. Looks like a mix of comedy, with issue of the week in the West Wing. Hope they stop this formula and go to a main storyline throughout the season.

This show has become a crisis-of-the-week series, and of course, Kirkman always resolves it by the end of the hour. I preferred last season's ongoing investigation into the attack on the capitol as well as watching Kirkman as a fish out of water. The other thing about this show that bugs me is the rapid fire pace of some of the conversations. Sometimes there's barely a pause between different actors speaking, and other times the scene changes the moment a character finishes talking. It just feels rushed sometimes instead of a natural pace. I never noticed this on The West Wing or House of Cards. Anyway, I'll still watch, but so far I liked Season 1 better.

I am 1.5 episodes behind and struggling to hold my interest. Love Kiefer, but it's starting to become a chore to watch. The premise was pretty cool and original, but now it's just another political show. That goofy stuff with the frog? Ugh. Just feels like it's lost its edge, or something.

I'm still enjoying this. Maybe it's because I get to see someone acting Presidential.

I'm still watching, but this past week's episode "Suckers" was pretty boring.
Just a by the numbers, Crisis of the week episode. Everything is resolved nice and tidy at the end.
With Patrick Lloyd dead and the conspiracy angle for all intents and purposes resolved, this has basically turned into a Political crisis of the week procedural. There doesn't appear to be any ongoing plot anymore. I can see why no one is talking about it without any suspense/thriller type plot.
The only thing I can see interesting coming up is how they write out Tom's wife.
Wasn't the whole point of this show was to see Tom Kirkman was way out of his element being designated to run the country after that attack? Now it seems like he's in a comfort zone. I feel like the original idea of this show couldn't sustain itself for more than 1 season.

I still haven’t watched the latest episode. I use to drop Blacklist to the back of my watch list (usually watch on the following Sunday or Monday), but this week I dumped Designated Survivor to the back and it’s just rotting on my DVR waiting for me to watch it.
I don’t want to
Edit - one day later, read the synopsis for the latest episode and next week’s too. They sounded so boring, so I’m dumping this show. Sorry Kiefer, go back to kicking ass.

What a terrible idea bringing the son back, even if it was (hopefully!) one episode
As if any girl would want that drip
Maggie Q and the brit are the best thing about this show, but they are struggling to give them anything meaningful to do
The mother in law story is pathetic
and political enemy of the week is getting old
