I'm not familiar with the layout of LA but I also find it funny that the same precinct/group of officers respond to calls in the slummiest of slums and super rich neighborhoods. Is their district the whole city?

I may have missed it because I was doing other stuff while watching, but what excuse did they give that it was illegal to have signs in your window? Is it in fact illegal to have signs in your window if the VP motorcade is going down your block?

Good episode! This show is starting to find its stride.
i thought the storylines were pretty compelling. The opening montoage goes to show how Fillion is so great at light comedy but can pivot to serious so well.
I do feel like the entire secret service plot could have been dropped, or maybe even been heard and not seen. It didn’t really lend anything and took up screen time. If anything, it made the end feel a bit rushed.

I just got caught up with the last 3 episodes.
One thing that caught me by surprise was when they revealed Jackson was gay in the Valentine's Day episode. That came out of left field. I thought Jackson was going to politely decline the male nurse's flirting.
I did like the Plain clothes day episode. We got to see the rookies make decisions on their own whether it was the right or wrong one.
Tonight's episode looks good and Sarah Shahi guest stars. I'd like to see her and Mercedes Mason stand together in the same room. They could totally pass for sisters.

Also caught up, it's been a pretty nice year for the networks, I've actually added 5 shows into rotation hoping they all get renewed.. Rookie, FBI, New Amsterdam, God Friended Me, and Kids are Alright.. I actually enjoy these network shows even more now I think because Netflix and Amazon tend to be pretty dark, I like the mix of light drama and good story-lines on many of these new shows.
The stories have been pretty solid and I like this cast a lot.

Shahi was a cool guest star and they definitely hinted that she could return.
Too bad Mercedes Mason wasn't in the episode. Been wanting to see them in the same scene together.

Damn. I did not see that coming. Aside from being wrapped up a bit quickly (that could have been a two parter) that was a great episode.
