Stamina is good but it takes a lot of stamina to help sometimes. How many extra hit points do you get per stamina? 10? 15? is it more? As a cloth wearer i know that some of the instance bosses can hit me for 250 damage. So it would take an extra 25 stamina just to survive an extra hit. So stamina is probably more usefull than spirit, but not as good as intellect.

I ran adaware a few minutes ago and it found just 4 adware files which of course I deleted and it really helped my login. It was taking a lonnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnng time to log into Wow but now it's very fast!!!!!!!
![Up](/images/smilies/thumpsup.gif)
So if you have any log in issues you might wanna try scanning for adware and spyware

Dave, generally as a rule of thumb, the casters shouldn't be getting the aggro at all in an instance group. If they do, it would be the job of the tank to pull them off or for the priest to toss up a power word shield on you until the aggro is pulled off. That's why I have 2 sets of gear for my mage (frost mage). One with high intelligence and spirit, and the other with + frost & magic damge for PVE. If a patrol sneaks up behind you, you can frost nova and move to a safer spot and your guys can grab that aggro.
Since the fights tend to be long in an instance your mage armor is helpful since it still allows mana regen during casting. This is where your spirit helps. You just have to hold back on nuking and cast at a pace where you're doing the most damage but not pulling aggro away from the main tank.
If you slap on the + damage gear in an instance, you'll be doing way too much damage too fast that the tank will have a hard time pulling aggro from you. I know with all of my damage gear on my frost, my frostbolt hits at ~330 normally and ~650+ crits.. which I crit 14% of the time.
This is just how I play and it seems to work very well for me. You seem to be doing fine with your routine though so just stick with whatever works best.

WTF! Just got booted while in an instance and when I try to reconnect it says my server is full and that I'm #70 in line. You've got to be kidding me. This server had a "low" population this morning. (or is that low for the time or low in relation to overall capacity?)

I try to use Scorch at the start of battles so the tank can get enough aggro. I pull out the fireball after a 3rd of the mobs health is gone, usually then the tank can hold the aggro or else if i draw it, i can kill the mob with fireblast or frostnova and another fireball. I do like to be able to pull aggro when needed (sacrafice self to keep preist alive a little longer).

I had my first foray into Battlegrounds last night and besides the wait to get in it was awesome. I'm a lvl 33 Shadow Priest and was a bit disoriented at first but think I held my own. Any tips or tricks for amassing as many HK as I can?

i think one "trick" is to wait til you're at the top of your range (like 38-40) that way you'll have more of a chance against lower levelers and have better spells. (SW pain everyone and probably lots of mind flay for enemies running away with the flag

There should be a guy right outside the WG entrance with a big ? over his head. Turn your amulets into him.
Rank is calculated every Tuesday during maintenance. Note that as a level 33, you are limited in how far you can climb in the ranks.

Out with the old...
in with the new!
About four months ago I decided that I was going to get me a Winterspring Frostsaber epic mount. I've gotten a bit side tracked over that period of time but I was finally able to finish last night. It was a very long road (840 quest turn ins) but I am very happy with the end result. I am even more excited that I can finally leave Winterspring and all the damn farmers out there.

The epic mount costed me 900g with my Honored rep discount. You can also get another 10% discount with a rank 3 PVP ranking bringing the cost down to 800g. I use an addon called Reputation which gives numerical values to reputation gains. So getting from Neutral to Exalted reputation with the Wintersaber Trainer takes exactly 840 quest turn ins. The winterspring frostsaber mount is exactly the same as other epic mounts in regards to cost and speed of the mount. Humans, gnomes, and dwarves going for this mount must also get Exalted reputation with Darnassus to train in Tiger Riding to be able to use this mount. I don't like the redesigned night elf epic mounts with the chessy He-Man battle cat armor so that was another factor in me getting this mount. As far as I know, there are only 3 other people (one of them being in my guild) on the Blackhand server with this mount.

What professions did you take on and what would be the best place for a mid 30 lvl priest to farm gold?

Being a human, make sure you get Honored reputation with Stormwind to get the 10% discount for your mount before you purchase it. 10g is a lot of money that early on. It is possible for you to get a cross faction mount but will be very very difficult to do at your level. You have to gain Exalted status with the faction that has the mount you want. This was made a bit easier with the addition of cloth turn in quests that give you reputation gains, but it is still extremely hard/time consuming. My advice, stick with the horse until level 60 then you can decide if you want to farm runecloth for a good while to get exalted with another faction.
When I got my first mount, I farmed leather in the Hinterlands to make the money for it. My rogue is a skinner/leatherworker, so I made the majority of my money making items to sell. As for farming gold in your 30s, I really have no idea anymore. I've been at 60 so long that everything in the past is kinda blurry.![Smilie](/images/smilies/smile.gif)
In regards to the tiering of items, the order is Grey, White, Green, Blue, Purple, Orange, Red. As of now, I only know of 4 orange (artifact) items in the game: Bindings of the Windseeker (left and right halfs), Essence of the Firelord, and Elementium Bars. I don't believe any red (legendary) items have been uncovered yet.

So in SW who would I turn in cloth to? Is it wool, silk, etc? and how much reputation gain do I get by doing it?
I've never seen an orange piece at the AH or being sold in IF, are they BoA?

More than likely red (legendary) items haven't even been implemented into the game therefore no one will find one. It was until these last few patches that the current orange items were implemented. You will probably never see an orange item in the AH because they will all be bind on pickup items that drop out of highest level instances. They will probably never be world drops likes the purple epic world drops that are currently in the game.
I am not exactly sure where in SW the cloth quartermaster is. The quests consists of you turning in stacks of all the cloths in the game. Once you get to the turn in quest for runecloth, it must be repeated constantly to get to Exalted. A guildmate of mine just finished this last week, and I believe he told me it took him around 420 stacks of runecloth. At your current level, the only way you'll be able to obtain runecloth is through the AH. I don't recall seeing any runecloth drops until I hit level 50 and was in the Eastern Plaguelands.

The reason no one has found any red items is because Blizzard has not released them yet. Supposedly someone found the plans for it on the test server. One orange item is the mace from Ragnaros who is a boss from MC, that item needs two parts to make, both from MC. I believe all orange items are BoP at this point. At your level I wouldn't really worry about reputation yet, if you just do some quests you can get honored for the discount. As for potions, look to make swiftness potions and free action potions for PVP. Those are good sellers I believe. Also, near the alchemy trainer in UC is the alchemy supplier Algernon, he sells the plans for Shadow Power potion and Superior Mana potion. They sell for 1G each but are limited supply. These potions are worth some money too. As for farming gold in your thirties I would keep doing SM runs.

neiname, as a herbalist keep up the Kingsblood and you should get to 90g in no time. With the Thorium Brotherhood reputation added to the game, Kingsblood has been in extremely high demand because it is used in a repeatable faction quest.
