You'll be happy to know that Death Jr. has about 3 sec load times. They really did some work getting those down.

Death Jr looks amazing. I think we are going to see some much better games now that developers have had more time with the system. Granted Sony came through with several good launch titles, but I think the third parties will start to catch up. There are always companies that try to rush stuff out for system launches so many times the launch titles do not even come close to living up to the actual potential of the hardware.

My wife recently picked up her own PSP. She's not much of a gamer, however, she loves it for it's extra features (music, movies, photos). She has a 256 MB stick and has a ton of photos on it.

The one game she loves is Hot Shots Golf. We play together wirelessly quite a bit and it works great. The battery life with wi-fi on this game is longer than I would have suspected.

The system does seem to get quite hot by the battery cover when playing this game with wi-fi. I havn't noticed that when playing single player.

I can't wait until battery technology gets better so they can release one with a longer life. Then they can unlock the extra 111MHz in the PSP and let the developers have at it.

Speaking of batteries, I sent my PSP in to get it replaced because of my 3 dead pixels, and they sent a new one back to me but without the battery. Now they are claiming I never sent them the battery, and that is simply a lie. I'm pretty pissed.

I saw a couple of the Logitech cases as Best Buy today.

So, what's the BEST way to convert DVD's to PSP?
Best SPORTS game thus far?

I have Lumines and Wipeout Pure

also picked up the PLayGear case at GameRush (I had credit)

I have a few questions for every PSP owner out there.

I have someone willing to sell me their PSP Value Pack, complete with everything still included, with one dead pixel, for $205/shipped. Should I jump on this or should I wait until the rerelease it with a new battery and whatever else? I already have a DS, if that matters at all.

Is that a fair price at this point? Should I wait since I'm not in a "MUST OWN IT NOW" mode?

Where is the pixel? If its off to the side or near an edge, I'd be all over that deal.

He said it's off to the side and you can't really notice it. He also says he has the receipt that he would give to me also. He bought it at a GameRush.

I have 1 dead pixel on mine and its really close to the edge. I don't even notice it except for when the screen is black. I'd definetley take your friend up on his offer.

That's not a bad deal. I picked mine up at GameStop pre-owned, and it had everything from the value pack included except the manual, and sony soft case, but included a different case with it. They sold the bundle for $199.99 but you have to add tax. EB Games sells just the console (+battery,+charger) for $214.99 pre-owned. Mine didn't have any dead pixels, one of the perks of getting a pre-owned is you can turn it on in the store and check everything out.

Any deals on 1GB memory duo? I may settle for 512MB (I currently have a 256 that I also use with my Digital CAmera)

Damn, that's neat. I don't have any pixel problems, but I see how it could work. I dug a little deeper in the thread, and it appears there is a version 2 as well.

Worth a try, but it doesn't look like it works for pixels stuck on white which is what I have.

This might be a YMMV and I don't know if this is a deal or not but,
I was in Best Buy and the tag on the Sony 1GB Pro-Duo post had an "as advertised" tag with the price of $139.00. There wasn't any on the post. I asked the salesman when were they advertised as I was looking every week for some kind of sale. He was clueless. He punched the info into the computer and said he had 2 in stock. He went to a glass case and pulled out 2 of the Sony MSX-M1GN 1 GB High Speed(I don't know if the high speed means anything or not). So you might want to ask.
Also the last time I checked Staples.com they had the San Disk 1GB for $134.00 and you could use in store pick-up.
I haven't been able to jump on some of the deals you guys found online yet.

Thanks....I guess I'm not sure if I'll be converting any videos on memory cards yet...I've tried a few, but I only got a BLANK black screen. I used DVD Shrink to get .VOB files, then used PSP Video9 to convert....but it did not work. I got a thumbnail on my PSP, but when I ran it...nothing.

All games work on all systems worldwide but not the UMD movies, those are region coded.
