Best Buy has added the 360 accesories available for order, but as of right now (4:30 EST), half of the stuff is named wrong on their site. The wireless adapter is called "Kiss of the Dragon". The 12 months XBox live card is called "Laguna Beach: Complete First Season [3 Discs / Full]". When you click on the name, the right page shows up, but when you add it to your cart, it's listed incorrectly. I'd be scared to order, you think you're ordering XBox Live Gold Subscription, and you end up with "Robocop Trilogy [3 Pack]".

E-mails from BB: 2 emails - Order Confirmation and Order Backordered
BestBuy online - View Orders Screen: InProcess
BestBuy online - Order Details Screen: Status Item Backordered, with no shipping timeframe given.

And I talked to a Customer Service rep who may or may not have an idea of what this means: she said I won't get in on the first batch of bundles.

That's what I have. Anyone else?
When I did the RZ pre-order for the PSP, the status changed around quite a bit in the first couple of days, but it shipped on time.

Not sure if it's been covered in the thread, but if you have and play Steel Battalion (or anyother game that requires a peripheral controller) hold on to your X-box.

The 360 isn't backwards compatible with controllers from this gen.

Or video cables, which is annoying as I like to just be able to plug the old cable right in, without having to fish behind the TV or stereo in the jungle of wires to plug the new cable in.

The Steel Battalion controller I'm not sure on, but the point about Video cables is pretty much a mute point since each comes with it's own standard video(S-video cable) cable. The premium comes with component/S-video cables. The core only comes with S-video cable.

The controller's 100% don't work. This was in the newest EGM.

Cables are just an inconvenience for those like me with a ton of shit hooked up to the hometheater and it situated where it's hard to get to the inputs.

Best Buy email

Like Adam, I received the same e-mail from the BB Customer Care Team (!). Looks like I'm in on the preorder.

I hope many of you that got in on the Best Buy RZ deal are in the same boat!

But what is to stop a 3rd party from making a converter cord/cable? I'm sure we will see one down the line. If MS is preventing 3rd parties from creating wireless pads for 360, they will make their money elsewhere. This is one way possible.

Dead or Alive 4 has been delayed until December 1, 2005. Because of this we have replaced it with Call of Duty 2 in your bundle.
bah that's lame. It's bad enough they make you buy bundles.

So I'm planning a heist on a Sams Club Warehouse anyone interested?

That's awesome do you think that they have started shipping to just the large retailers or is it possible that even the smaller sellers are recieving thiers this early? This may lead to a decent indication of how many units my local Wal-Mart will actually have on launch day. I remember when the PS2 launched the day before my Wal-Mart found out they were only getting about half of the consoles they were supposed to get, there were many pissed off soccer moms and geeks that day.......so of course I taunted them as I carried mine out of the store.

Sam's is my backup plan. If I don't have any luck at BB, I am hitting up Sams with my "Business" membership. Gets me in an hour before regular members.

That actually isn't a bad bundle either. Looks like you are essentially getting the charge kit for free.

What's in the Perfect Dark Zero Limited Edition release? I'm not getting a 360 now (don't have the money) but if the LE is something cool I might pick that up just so I have it when I get the system.

No, as the system hasn't been released yet. You can find plenty of FAQs on the subject though, including the one at the start of the thread. Game reviews may start pouring in next week.

More Best Buy info from Kotaku:

Only 12 Best Buy Opening at Midnight for 360

Only a dozen Best Buy’s plan to open at midnight for Xbox 360 sales, according to a document obtained by Kotaku. The stores, all located in major metro areas, were chosen based on overall past games sales.

Each of the dozen stores will get an extra 100 360s, more worker bees and special print ads running in their area.

According to the document, the main reason for midnight openings is to “increase Best Buy brand awareness” but that doing so is quite expensive.

“The Company doesn’t have the inventory or capital to support advertising and labor for an event scope beyond the 12 stores.”

All other stores will open at 9 a.m. Nov. 22, any store that decides on its own to open at midnight could actually nix an ad running for the 9 a.m. opening, so it’s highly unlikely anyone will do it.

Here’s the list of the dozen midnight stores, cross your fingers:

Twelve stores have been selected for midnight openings for 12:01 a.m. on Nov. 22:
• Store #104 (Hawthorne, CA)
• Store #120 (Santa Rosa, CA)
• Store #146 (Sterling, VA)
• Store #164 (Lone Tree, CO)
• Store #202 (Plano, TX)
• Store #281 (Richfield, MN)
• Store #291 (Galleria, TX)
• Store #311 (Burbank, IL)
• Store #498 (Bellevue, WA)
• Store #516 (Alpharetta, GA)
• Store #557 (Miami, FL)
• Store #1028 (Midtown, NY)
Best Buy is expecting 43,000 Xbox 360’s company wide which works out to about 60 per a store with the midnight opening stores getting an extra 100 each.

According to leaked documents, the company is expecting to do about $16 million in hardware sales (that’s with a planned sell-out), $5.1 million in game sales (that’s 86,000 games), $5 million in accessory sales (again about 86,000 units) and $2.5 million in their scamish product replacement plans (or about 21,500). That works out to about $29 million in total 360-related sales on one day. Not bad.

Wow, only two games per a 360, that seems kinda low.

The company’s goal is for every customer walking out of the store with an Xbox 360 in their basket to have another $300 in stuff in there with it.

Before Xbox 360, the average video games hardware basket was about $65. Attaching $100 to an Xbox or PlayStation 2 was (and still is) considered a solid performance. With the nearly limitless attachment opportunities, Xbox 360 will rewrite the rules of what good looks like. For an Xbox 360 sale, it’s realistic to shoot for $300 in attachments of software, accessories, Xbox Live and Product Replacement Plans.
So don’t expect to get out of your local Best Buy without a phalanx of sales people attacking you. The store is hoping to push their Reward Zone members to spend $600, something that they say will be easy to do.
Looks like it's Walmart for me at midnight!
