I've more or less given up on this game now. Even with 40 hours a week at work I can play this, I find little enjoyment from it. The problem for me is I am on between 7AM-3PM EST, and there's hardly anyone on, and the quests for my 41 are either boring or too difficult to do by myself. I just don't have the time to play, and would rather spend $15 on more games.

I kinda feel the same way. So what I do nowadays is wait til a patch comes out, then play the new content for a month. After that, I don't renew my subscription and hold off til the next one is released.

At least that way I'm not paying to be bored the whole time.

The casual game ends at 60. If you're not in a raiding or pvp guild, you get bored to tears. Even a regular instance group to play with helps a lot at lv 60.

Simple solution to the 60's blues...make an alt. I got my Shaman to 60, and got tired of MC and ZG every night, especially when Shaman gear would only drop when I couldn't make the raids.

I made a Warrior alt, and it's been alot of fun. If you already have an alt, make another. Try every class and race.

Besides, the 60's blues will be history when the expansion comes out and the level cap is raised to 70.

I finally found a guild that plays at the same time as me. They only have like 6 or 7 people but they real nice and it makes running the scholo/strat/DM/Lbrs more fun then ever.

A good guild is the only way to go. After a few horror-filled low-level PUG instances, there is NO way I would go into an UBRS or a Scholo with PUG's. Ick.

With people to run with, being a 60 is still way fun to me. Plus, looks like we've got 1.11 content coming on Tuesday, which should keep me occupied well into the future. Then, we've got Burning Crusade coming. Lots to look forward to, IMO.

I plan on running a lot of alts. My main is almost to 60, but I've already gotten one alt started and once he gets up towards 60, I'll start another.

I prefer questing and looting over instances (and, though I haven't done it, raiding,) so the games got plenty of life left for me.

I've got 4 60s plus a 51, 3 46s and a couple of shaman in the lower 20s. I think maybe I'm finally done--I haven't had much urge to log in lately. I really don't enjoy instances much, so the end game is pretty much out.

Pfft, UBRS PUGs are the best.

And there's no way 1..11 is coming out on Tuesday. The test realm has only been up, what, 2 weeks? I'd say mid-June, minimum.

I found a guild with like 6 or 7 regulars that play at the time i play. Since i've joined, i've added like 6 or 7 more to the guild. We got our UBRS key and then ran UBRS on saturday. very fun. couple wipes on Father Flame but after that we were wipe less and took down Drakk. Probably try for ZG in a couple weeks by teaming up with another small guild who has 5-7 people that could go.

its almost like a new game now. I like doing the instance runs just to hang out with people on ventrilo.

I am looking to possibly getting this game. I used to play Everquest and everquest 2. Are there a lot of people still playing this and can you progress if you tend to play alone? I do understand this is a MMORPG but with my playtime limited sometimes getting a group is not feasable for me.

People say you can solo all the way to 60, but I wasn't able to. I got to 42, and then all my quests were either Elite or Dungeons, and you can't really do those alone. I could never find anyone to help me, so my only option would have been to grind monsters. And I hated that. So I gave up.

check the worldofwarcraft.com site. there maybe a trial download.
you can solo all the way to 60. at 42 you should have had quests to do at gadgetzan, booty bay/stv, swamp of sorrows, ferelas and the hinterlands.

Yep. I got my Druid up to 41, then it was nearly impossible to level without a group. I was in a guild, but very few were around my level, and I played in the early morning hours (not like... stay up late hours, but get up early, like 6 AM), so it was almost useless for me to continue playing.

I'm at 56 with my druid. I've grouped on quests and instances but there was never a point where there was nothing I could do without a group. I'm still soloing quests too.

Just gotta keep travelling around.

Those, and there may be some easy green quests they've missed too, such as badlands.

If you ever run out of quests to solo, check out this chart to see if you've hit all the areas for your level range.
