^ wow! I remember that one! My friends and I had a blast with it, but I'm surprised it's rated M. I could have sworn it was T at best but I must be forgetting some of the darker stuff.
Reminds me that I should replay Phantasmagoria 1 & 2 some day.

Wikipedia makes mention of the rating, and apparently they were going to have some R rated cut scenes: The makers of the game originally intended for it to contain more adult content in its cut scenes; the script for the game (published as part of a walk-through guide) included several R-rated sex scenes. Rumors immediately surfaced that an "uncut" version of 11th Hour existed, leading to the game makers announcing that the R-rated sequences, though planned, were never filmed.

I actually got my original copy free, from the producer. I was working for another company and we chatted for a while, at CES in 1994. I vaguely recall it was pretty late, when it came out.

I was hoping Steam would have 7th Guest that cheap, but it's around $8. No doubt it'll get heavily discounted, at some point, too.

7th Guest was definitely the better of the two but 11th Hour was still a fun game. I loved Phantasmagoria as a kid (and all those Sierra adventure titles).

Party Golf. It was on sale for like a buck on Xbox last week. I've only played it solo but even like that it's fun. A game takes no more than 8 minutes or so and most of the tweaks are interesting. I've had a few that just didn't work but I quit those and move to the next configuration.
Dicey Dungeons on Steam. Also on sale, six bucks or so. I've unlocked all but one character and am two or three Episodes into the first couple character's storylines.

I’m late on the Bloodstained one. Is this the the sort-of unofficial Castlevania game?

That’s what they say. Spiritual successor to Symphony of the Night.

not a bad game so far. Easy enough to follow RPG mechanics. Easy to maneuver the menus. Not too hard, except final boss of first level, but I’ll figure it out. When you die you do sometimes backtrack a ways to last save and that could be a ways way from that final battle. Would have been so much better to have a save room right before fight, but whatever. Fluid mechanics, very simple, but useful map. Not bad at at for a 2-D Igavania game.

And $16 for 3 games was great. It was $40 last week, but I waited and saw today $16. 60% off for I think 2 weeks. So I jumped. Graphics look really good and looks fun. Never played a one.

I had bought the Spyro and Bandicoot trilogies on PS4 in a full bundle of all 6 games for like $25 shortly after they came out... but then Humble Bundle gave them all for free on PC a few months later, lol.

That’s a good deal for what 6 fully realized, not so short platformers? It’s $50 rn at MS, but have the Insane trilogy already so paid $36 for 6 games. Not bad.

And such a big file for Spyro. About 44 GB. I know 3 games, but they really must have done them up nice. Is is a trilogy eith story? Or just 3 games back to back? I know many of the older platformers never really tied story. And, how would you rank em?

This is just like your Prince of Persia question. They're so similar that they could be the same game. There were some improvements made to gameplay mechanics over the years so the third is probably the "best", but they're all pretty close and should probably be played in order. There is a "story" but it's not much deeper than "unfreeze these dragons".

Bought the Kingdom Hearts PS4 full collection for $20 from Best Buy. The plan is to let my kid play through them, but she'll probably lose interest we'll see.

is it still not a valid question here too? Is that why you’re laughing, I made another stupid post in VG forum? But thanks for answer. Just curious is all as I don’t know squat about these games and just a little PoP squat.

And from all the footage I’ve seen on Spyro, playing Sands of Time, how could they remotely be similar, except they are both platformers?
