Re: Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 (November 2012)
I went through and tweaked my classes last night as I finally unlocked Scavenger and decided to start using C4.
I keep my "Wild One" as my main class: A maxed out FAL with the Target Finder, FMJ and Fore Grip, no second weapon and Perk 1 and 2 both doubled (I vary the perks).
I need to try the EMP in my "Heavy" class as that is one I favor for game types that result in lots of kills and lots scorestreak deployments (Hard Point, Demolition, Headquarters) as I hate getting taken out well placed sentry gun.

Loving the FAL with target finder and doubling up on Bettys. Most people seem to use SMG's but to me they take too many bullets to get a kill.

I have tried out the FAL...it takes a while to get use to it. I lose most close fights, but my god it can take a person down quick at range. I am two levels away from select fire, and it seems that it might almost be overpowered once you unlock that..

Re: Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 (November 2012)
as for smgs...on small maps I destroy with them using ghost...once the enemy gets a uav up, I run around getting kills. They don't expect you to be there, and your smg is so quick at getting off you only lose to shotguns...and only if they pull first.
I had some success hip firing my smg with the laser attachment. Gives me that extra edge in reaction time to offset those 12 year olds...

I don't have select fire yet, I think that's my next unlock. How does that work? Do you have to change it to auto every time you spawn? I unlocked it for the MTAR but never tried it.

yes left on the direction pad switches it to full auto....from messing around with it in a local match vs bots, it destroys...but of course that is bots, not real people.

FAL...Select Fire...This is going to be nerfed..
So the advantage of an smg/shotgun is you win most close fights. Assault riffles are great mid-range. Snipers are good across the map. Of course this is not always the case, and skill can adjust this, but for the most part this is how it works. The FAL sort of falls in that upper range of middle of the map. Once you unlock select fire though, it destroys at long range with target finder...kills at mid-range, and even wins a lot of close fights since it only takes 2-3 bullets even in the gut to take someone out...

Really? I have had a bitch of a time with the Fal on full auto. I actually am more deadly with it with a supressor which is ridiculous. Perhaps I just need to adjust. I must be missing shots because I will unload and get killed at almost any range with the damn thing. I don't know what I'm doing wrong because I was very excited to unlock it considering the damage I was doing with the supressor on it. I even tried running three attachments, target finder, full auto, and the grip to increase accuracy. It's been disappointing.

After reading the posts I added the FAL to my rotation last night. I'm almost to level 6 with it and am looking forward to Full Auto, Target Finder and FMJ attachments with it. I'm much better with a full auto assualt rifle but the FAL was fun as hell. I usually throw down an electrical charge and take dudes out as they get caught up in it

I was the same way, but it seems like the Fal loses A LOT of accuracy when going to full auto, at least for me. I must be doing something wrong.
I mean I would take 2-3 shots of a suppressed FAL and kill people. Now I seem to get 4 or 5 hit markers, unsupressed, and get killed in the firefight.

^^ I'm using the grip right now w/ semi-auto and red dot sight... I'm averaging 15 kills/match with it and that's with losing most close quarter battles. I try to play this game smart - less run and gun and more camping / regional play (haters can suck it). I usually end up getting 3-4 care packages per game, 5-6 UAV's and a maybe 1 or 2 higher end rewards. I've never been great at the CoD or MW games, but this one is the most comfortable I've felt online. I usually end up 1-2 in total points and 4-5 in kills each match.

has anyone messed with the MP7? I just noticed that this is the weapon I have been killed by the most...BY FAR..

That said, I'm only level 27 and I suck with all the other guns so far besides the MP7.

From what you guys are saying I may have to try the FAL. So far my favorite guns are the MSMC, KSG and the DSR 50
The MSMC has the least recoil of all the submachine guns and when paired with the Quick Draw attachment will win lots of gun battles.
The KSG is the Pump Semi auto shotgun that fires a slug - not pellets. If you are accurate with it and use the long barrel attachment it will give lots of one hit kills at surprising distances.
The DSR 50 is The best Bolt action rifle. Lots of one hit kills - It is comparable to the Intervention in MW2 Intervention from MW2.

FAL...Select Fire...Target Finder...FMJ...snipers worst nightmare. Cover is no longer their friend. When they move left of fall down to avoid hits, the FMJ destroys them...
I sort of wish there were no stats kept for K/D or at least it did not add to your K/D on modes like Domination. MY K/D is .5 lower than it is on deathmatch type games, but I have a 2.76 win rate on domination. Many randoms do not help our team because all they want to do is move around and get their K/D up. If we lose a close match and you are going around with a 20/10 K/D with 0 captures/defends/ect...you are not helping.

I usually don't use a mic when I play, but anyone on Xbox looking to play with someone that goes for the objective feel free to add me.

That's the only gun I use, 'bout to completed completely in prestige and camos. Doing the no perks camo challenge currently after finishing the no attachments camo.

I have to rethink my fully auto FAL opinion. I was doing pretty good with it today. I now have it prestiged twice, and I unlocked all the camos. Also have all the camos for the first pump shotgun, and I have prestiged it once.
The good thing about the camos is I got to try out running with no perks, and now one of my classes I use one perk and three attachments on my FAL, target finder (I switch this up sometimes), grip, and selector.

Agreed. I have one class with no perks, 3 attachments on the primary weapon and 2 attachments on a second primary weapon.

Re: Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 (November 2012)
My main class I get the best K/D on is FAL with three attachments...Target Finder, select fire and FMJ..
I use Ghost on first perk...cold blooded on second and engineer on the third. One bouncing betty and one black hat.
I keep thinking I want to replace the FMJ with a suppressor and try that out. The little I used a suppressor on other weapons, I just did not like the range and damage drop off..but it might be good on the FAL since the base damage is so high to start with.
On domination I have two classes I use. My team all has a speed class with LMG's...
Basically I have flak jacket, lightweight on the first perk...toughness on the second perk and tactical mask and endurance on the third...the weapon is a HAMR with FMJ and I have one flash bang.
All three of us switch to knives and push to B right away...skip our first flag and let one person on our team get it. We almost ALWAYS get to b first...we toss our flash bangs out at the same time..lay down on B and open fire with our 100 rounds in every direction. We always get B. Always. Many times I get 700-800 points in 10 seconds this way.
We then switch out to our other Domination class...that has a few less perks and tac insertion. This keeps us on B, and lets us dominate. We roll near a 2.75/1 win loss ratio, but since we started this strategy, we run about a 5/1 win loss ratio. It only fails when the other 3 members of our team (there are 3 of us that play all the time) are not helping at least keep A or C...
