The Wii U: From "cool" Sony to evil Nintendo

Obviously a lot of the later dates are placeholders, but don't they usually indicate a "no later than" date? The Zelda one for Wii U at the end of this year intrigues me. And it's $80? But if there was something coming out, wouldn't we have been teased with it by now? Also, it looks like they'll be selling gamepads separately now?

at $5 i'm bite (at least Advanced Wars) but $10 is too much for me. I'd rather buying something like NES Remix instead

I'm in for Mario & Luigi, Metroid Fusion, and Golden Sun. I never had a GBA, so I'm fine with $10.

I'll rebuy Super Robot Wars OG, or any new games, but I'm not sure I'd even play something as good as the original Advance Wars on my WiiU.

Sonic: Lost World DLC coming today for the Wii U! From http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/20...orld-zelda-dlc :
Sega's Mario Galaxy-inspired Wii U platformer Sonic: Lost World will tomorrow be expanded with yet more Nintendo nostalgia, in the new Legend of Zelda Zone DLC.
The add-on dresses Sonic in Link's iconic green garb and allows him free roam over parts of Hyrule, IGN reported. There you'll bump into Stalfos, Gorons and Cuccos, as well as spot Link riding his Loftwing from Skyward Sword.
The Legend of Zelda Zone has side-quests, familiar enemies and no time limit, allowing for extended exploration.
It's odd. It's really really odd. And it's available to download from the Wii U eShop for free from tomorrow.

Re: The Wii U: From "cool" Sony to evil Nintendo
A couple of questions:
1. I'm fairly certain you can play games like Mario Party 8/9 on the Wii U, correct?
2. If so, do I need the nunchuck style remotes or can you play with the gamepad?
Thanks!

You can play any Wii game on the Wii U. It's completely compatible, including all the accessories. (It can't play GameCube games the way the original Wii could, but all things Wii will work with the Wii U.) You'd still need to use the Wiimotes and nunchucks for those games, though.

If you can't wait for Mario Kart 8....! Hello Kitty Kruisers was supposed to come out last year and is finally hitting store shelves. The lack of shadows under the karts is driving me nuts, not that....err, anything else about the visuals looks like a winner:

I can still totally see myself getting this for my fiancee, though: a racing game fanatic who's also super into Hello Kitty.
(Geez, this thread sure is quiet since LosingMyMind deleted all his posts, took his ball, and stomped away.)
